OUR COMMENT
A fabulous Grand Canal apartment majoring on quiet luxury and its great location and offering exceptional views extending all the way from the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art to the left, to the Accademia Bridge (beside our office) to the right, with VOV / Dimora Italiaâs Palazzo Cerchieri right next door!
Within a stoneâs throw of an excellent variety of interesting small shops, traditional bars and restaurants typical of Dorsoduro, including the canal-side Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti, Ristorante Bakaro, Oniga, Osteria Alla Bifora, Caâ Del Vento and Osteria Ai Pugni to name but a few⊠not forgetting the localsâ favourite Cantinone Gia Schiavi-Al Bottegon for super cicheti and Bar Alla Toletta for some of the tastiest tramezzini in own!
A short amble to the glittering Zattere waterfront with its fabulous panorama across the wide Giudecca Canal, and to the Squero San Trovaso â founded in the 17th century and the oldest of only a tiny handful of working gondola boatyards still left in Venice today, where skilled local artisans continue to craft, maintain and repair gondolas by hand using centuries-old methods.
Also conveniently close to 2 vaporetto (water bus) stops â one at Accademia and the other at Caâ Rezzonico â for hassle-free sightseeing and easy travel around the city.

This apartment was fantastic. The apartment itself is lovely- high ceilings, two good bathrooms, comfortable beds, good air conditioning independently controlled in each room, a dock directly on the building for water taxis, and multiple windows looking out directly onto the Grand Canal.
While everyone has their own favorite neighborhood, I believe the location to be fantastic. Close to the Grand Canal, short walk to the Accademia bridge, a quiet neighborhood, close to several restaurants and bakeries (I found Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti to be fantastic). It is close enough to easily walk to popular locations like St. Mark's, but enough removed that the nearby streets are not busy. There is something in this neighborhood for everyone- some small shops, gelato, pizza by the slice, and a couple very good museums.
Finally, the contact person, Enrica, was absolutely fantastic. She was able to answer any questions quickly via WhatsApp, and also booked multiple water taxis/airport transfers for us (including one at 3:15 am to catch an early flight).
Overall, this place was a 10/10.
Beautifully decorated, clean and fresh. Arrived by water taxi directly to property dock with a warm welcome from hostess. The views of the canal from our windows were just like the photos. Every convenience was provided for and the location was quiet but still in the mix of things. I highly recommend this site. We will return!
We had a wonderful stay at the Caâ Mainella Grand Canal. The apartment is just as described, great location with views of the grand canal and very spacious and comfortable. Communication was also great from start to finish. I highly recommend this property as well as Views on Venice. This was my second time renting from them (the first time almost 15 years ago), and they continue to provide great properties and support for a magical Venice experience!
