The room was so relaxing, the onsen was immaculate (with a whole line-up of different shampoos and conditioners to try!) and the staff was beyond gracious. I checked out a few hours early (8:30am) then suddenly and quickly became very ill. I walked back to the hotel and asked if there was any chance I could go back to my room to rest. It was about 9:30 am at this point, check-out was at 11. So they were able to âun-check-outâ for me and allowed me to do a late checkout (1pm) for a small fee, even though my room had already been cleaned! I rested up and felt much better by 1pm. As I was leaving, several staff members sincerely asked how I was doing and if I needed any further assistance. 10/10 customer service!
Although this property us a trek to get to from Henada airport, it was a great stay in so many ways. The onsen was a major plus to have access to. The hotel location was fantastic. It is close to many cafes, shopping, and senso-ji temple (to name a few things). Highly recommend. The staff are sweet and nice...however English translations is alttle difficult for some of them, but they try :)
The staff was excellent! They went out of their way to assist me with all my queries.
The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was great. The late night unlimited ramen is a great addition. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Will be staying again!
Highly recommend! Worth the extra cost for the onsen experience alone. Room was small but very comfortable. Lots of nice touches like the complimentary snacks, waters, ice cream annd noodles. Spotless facilities. We love the tatami flooring and the traditional feel. Very close to everything we wanted to do in Asakusa, a very walkable area. Staff were gracious and helpful when we arrived early, greeting us at the door and storing our luggage upon arrival so we could head right out to explore and again at checkout so we could enjoy a few last hours before heading to the airport. We will definitely stay again when we return to Tokyo area.
Hot springs were very interesting for a western tourist and thoroughly enjoyable. Property was difficult to locate when first arriving as there is no signage on entry or on main door. Only had Japanese writing on top of building.
The hotel is in a touristy area which can get loud especially during the weekend when the amusement park across from it is open; much screaming was heard from the roller coaster. The walls of the hotel are also relatively thin causing me to wake up from my sleep when my neighbors would create loud noises at 3am while âdoing the deedâ. Another night, they turned the TV on so loudly also at around 3am which again was easily heard in my room. Itâs also worth mentioning that the main reason I booked this hotel was because I read a review that said small tattoos were allowed in the onsen and the hotel provided stickers to cover them. I have a small tattoo that can easily be covered with a sticker but when I asked the front desk staff if Iâd be allowed to use the onsen, I was told no. I am aware of the strict tattoo policy in onsens in Japan, but I just wanted to mention this in my review in case another person with a tattoo might be reading reviews for reference if tattoos are allowed. Otherwise, the hotel itself is clean with many free amenities which is great, but I was not fond of the location and the thin walls.
Really nice hotel and the hot springs are lovely bonus.
Maybe some instructions on how to use the onsen in the onsen itself for people who are not used to them can learn how to use it
