- Americade (May 27–30): While centered in Lake George, you will see a massive influx of motorcyclists in Wilmington during this week, as the ride up the Whiteface Veterans' Memorial Highway is a bucket-list route for the festival participants.

July 19 — IRONMAN Lake Placid

Guest access
Parking is located in front of the house and is uncovered, we can accommodate 2-3 vehicles. If you have a pick-up or longer vehicle, you can park in the right side of the house. Please note, the left side is a driveway and can't be blocked at any time. Across the street is the visitor center, you may park there temporarily if needed.

We use a self check in door code so no need to use keys.

Backyard & Water Access Disclaimer:

We hope you enjoy the backyard and water access during your stay! Please note these areas are for use at your own risk, as no lifeguard or supervision is provided. Be mindful of your safety and that of any children in your group. The property owner and management cannot be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while enjoying these spaces.

We recommend bringing your own firewood so you can fully enjoy the outdoor fire pit during your stay. Firewood can also typically be purchased at nearby gas stations or from local vendors along the road.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Due to the time needed to adequately clean the unit, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check-out. Please book an extra night if you would like to guarantee an early check- in or a late check- out.

If an unauthorized event occurs, a $500 fee will be charged. No parties or events are allowed, per VRBO policy.

Our stay in Wilmington was excellent and this property met all the needs of my group of 5. This property provided ample sleeping space and the beds were comfortable. The space was very well updated and exceptionally clean! All amenities worked well, without issue. We enjoyed the central location in Wilmington, within walking distance of an Italian/pizza restaurant and the little supermarket gas station! Which we frequented often! Only 5Minutes to Whiteface Mtn, where we skied during our stay. I did have some concerns about parking and a description of how to enter the establishment, which the host responded quickly to. Rachael, was very considerate and understanding of my concerns, which was very comforting. She was approachable, kind and receptive! My family and I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to friends/family!
