Enjoy a perfect stay for up to 6 people in Tokyo in one of the trendiest and friendliest areas in Tokyo!
Explore this amazing metropolis from your very own, spacious and modern, 3 bedroom designer house located on a quiet side street, but less than 5 minutes on foot to boutiques, cafes, bakeries, coffee roasters, 24h convenience stores, restaurants and bars!

The area is as exciting as it is family friendly. Truly a gem.
It's less than 10 minutes to the station on a tree-lined street on foot and only 3 mins by bus, which is a 2 minute walk from the house. It runs straight to the station every 2 minutes and has English signage : )

From Asagaya Station, you can easily reach Tokyo's top tourist destinations. The Chuo line takes you directly to Shinjuku, Ghibli Museum, Akihabara, Tokyo Station in a convenient above-ground train that lets you see Tokyo vistas as you ride.

Famous areas like Harajuku and Shibuya are only a couple of minutes from Shinjuku (only 3 stops from Asagaya on the Rapid!), and the change to the Yamanote line is very easy.

The house has individual, remote-controlled A/C and heat in every room and super high-speed fiber optic internet and wi-fi to handle all of your browsing and streaming needs.

The fully-equipped kitchen boasts a gourmet coffee station and a Western dining area. And by fully equipped, we mean it.. Please check the pictures!

There is a separate, peaceful Japanese Tatami room available for dinner, tea, board games or just hanging out.

The comfortable and tastefully decorated living room includes a 4k Smart TV with all the Apps and Japanese broadcast TV, as well as a Bluetooth Hi-Fi and a vintage turntable for your entertainment. We particularly enjoy watching Japanese breakfast television on the initial jet-lagged mornings!

BTW, there is a great coffee roaster just around the corner called Desmo, and the bakery by the bus station opens at 6 am. Of course, you can get food and drinks from the nearby convenience stores 24h everyday..

Laundry amenities feature a new, large-capacity washer/dryer, iron/clothes steamer and ironing board as well as a drying rack.

The modern and clean bathroom features a separate shower and tub and washroom.
There are also two separate Toto toilets with washlets.

All bedrooms feature blackout curtains and provide plenty of wardrobe and storage space, complete with hangers.

The beds are all 200cm in length - that's around 6'8" - for your comfort.

It should be noted that if you are a "person of height" you have a reasonable chance of NOT hitting your head in this house : )

4 umbrellas are available (please don't take them home as souvenirs lol) , and there is plenty of space to store your shoes at the entrance. Slippers are provided.

Tokyo is one of the safest cities in the world, and this area is one of the safest in all of Tokyo. So relax and enjoy!

We had a great stay at Tokyo Bauhaus and would absolutely recommend it. The home was comfortable, well set up, and exactly as described.The location in Asagayakita was a real highlight. It’s a quiet neighborhood that feels like “real” Tokyo rather than a tourist area, but still extremely convenient. The ChĆ«Ć Line made it easy to get to other parts of the city, and we loved being close to neighborhoods like Kƍenji and Kichijƍji for food, shopping, and wandering.There are lots of great local food spots nearby, and coming back to such a calm, residential area at the end of the day was a big plus. Overall, might seem a bit off the beaten path, but was an excellent base for exploring Tokyo.

This was an excellent base for wandering in Tokyo. Loved the house, and its pop of colour in a suburban street. We really enjoyed Asagaya and surrounding areas, it has so many dining options and lots of quirky attractions to visit.The house had everything to make our stay comfortable. And my extremely tall son had no bumps the entire time - it makes a difference when he can relax and not have to maintain awareness of potential obstructions!

We stayed for 2 weeks with two little kids. This house was an excellent place to stay. Lots of space and in a very convenient location. Having the laundry facility (a machine combining washer and dryer) was also outstanding. The management people for the house were very nice and responded quickly and respectfully with our questions. We would definitely want to stay there again when we visit Tokyo.

Cute, comfortable place near Shinjuku. Other reviewers have mentioned the wonderful instruction PDF provided by the host. It is the best I've ever seen! It tells you everything you need to know about the house, how to work the appliances, and about the surrounding area. The location was very convenient to the Shinjuku and Shibuya areas of Tokyo. About a 10 minute walk to the Asagaya train station and three stops to Shinjuku. Tons of shops and restaurants available along that 10 minute walking route. The place was spotless and well equipped for the four of us. The turntable and albums to play on it was a nice surprise. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to. We were able to find breakfast items at a nearby grocery store (4 minute walk) or the Family Mart (3 minutes walk). A great place to stay in Tokyo if you want more room than you typically find in Tokyo accommodations and don't mind a few extra minutes of walking or riding the train.

We had a wonderful month-long stay at this house and appreciated the responsive host. The house is clean, well designed, and had all the amenities we could have asked for. We absolutely loved the friendly neighborhood vibe in Asegaya, full of small shops and restaurants, balanced with proximity to central Tokyo. Transit notes: it's a 15-minute walk to the train station, and then about 10 minutes on the train to Shinjuku Station. House notes: the ground-floor bedroom is smaller and has less light, and (typical of Japanese homes) the stairs in the home are steep to maximize living space. If you are hoping to go to the Ghibli Museum, you will need to try to book reservations when they open online, a month or even more before your stay! We had a wonderful stay and would love to return one day to this charming and well-appointed spot.

This accommodation was perfect for our family trip to Tokyo. It was spacious and comfortable with everything we could have wanted. The neighbourhood is very pleasant and it is close to the train station with direct access to Shinjuku. The host sent us a very comprehensive set of instructions with details for how to use everything in the house and also how to get around. Overall we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was clean, comfortable, and close to public transportation, including the subway. We were given a thorough explanation of how to operate everything in the house. The neighbourhood was full of great little shops and restaurants, within easy walking distance, The property manager was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Brilliant location and great looking house. The lounge on the middle floor was a great place to relax and reflect on a busy day. The neighborhood was very quiet, with interesting shops everywhere. Ice Cream, Cafes, Bars, and food of many types were a short 5 minute walk away in any direction, as well as 7-11s and Family Marts nearby for late night dashes.

Great place to unwind near the heart of Tokyo

Really enjoyed our time here. Was a nice sanctuary away from the experiences Tokyo had to offer. We enjoyed the mid-century aesthetic of the house, the bedrooms are all generous sizes (compared to what the rest of Tokyo has to offer), and the lounge is a great spot to unwind after a long day. We really enjoyed the location too. Asagaya felt more like a residential area, but there are plenty of great eateries, coffee shops, and bars to enjoy in the area. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries and we'll be sure to come back here again when we're next in Tokyo. Thanks for a great stay.
