Freshie Hideaway Beach Getaway

Freshwater Hideaway has just opened and is a private oasis located ten minutes walk from two fantastic beaches on the North Shore of Sydney. Freshwater Hideaway is situated between Freshwater Beach and Curl Curl Beach and a 30-minute walk to Queenscliff and Manly. The hideaway includes shared access to the beautiful private pool for those days when lazing by the pool is more your style then a walk to the beach. A family run getaway with all the local intel.

Freshwater Hideaway sleeps up to 6 guests with a king and a queen bedroom and a quality queen sofabed. It has a full bathroom with shower and bath and separate WC The hideaway has large living area, dining and kitchen area plus a private deck with BBQ over looking the pool and the lush greenery. It has an internal laundry with washing machine and dyer. Freshwater Hideaway has its own private access from the main property minuteÂżs walk to all the great restaurants and beach bars and pubs in Freshwater.

The space
Freshwater Hideaway is a fabulous place for your stay by the beach. It has everything you could ask for, comfy beds with beautiful linen, free Foxtel and wifi, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, Nespresso coffee machine and a gourmet kitchen with everything you would need to cook a great meal in house.
You are within a stone's throw from Freshwater Village and beach, Curl Curl beach and easy access to both Manly Beach and also Dee Why Beach. There are so many places for great breakfasts and lunch with everything from the award-winning Pilu Restaurant on the beach to the local pub (Harbord Hotel) for great food. Our local bar "The Stowaway" is a great place to have cocktails and fish tacos. The New Harbord Diggers is just a 10 minute walk for a selection of fabulous food choices and a great bar with live music. If you can't be bothered going out...then you have a selection of hundreds of Uber eats in the area.

Both the beaches have great surf life clubs and patrolled beaches and both have 50-meter rock pool

The accomodation was comfortable however was very noisy (coming from downstairs family living). Was disappointing to find a coffee machine mouldy, one broken and no plunger. There was a pod machine, however we prefer proper coffee. Was interrupted at front door landing by owner after shower - still in towel - to ask if it was ok that sons friends were coming over for band practice! As it turns out we had plans that night to be out. I think if you are hosting paying guests you probably should hold band practice elsewhere. Beds were comfortable however not all surfaces were clean eg sticky/grimy door handles, light switches, kettle handle. Could do with a deep clean. We wouldn’t recommend this place to people who like privacy and coffee. The area of freshwater is nice. I hope this feedback is taken onboard with no ill feeling, I am just wanting to be honest. Lovely apartment with everything you need and more. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating with requests. We asked for Christmas decorations and the kids were very happy to see a Christmas tree. We loved having a barbie on the balcony and the location was perfect; within a 10 minute walk to South Curl Curl and Freshwater beaches. Thank you for our lovely stay Tina and Mike

Fabulous extremely well appointed property in a really good location, walking distance to Freshie and Curl Curl beaches, cafes, restaurants, supermarket and shops. Fantastic hosts, friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.Extremely clean, comfortable, everything you need - your home away from home. Simply perfect

Tina and Mike were the perfect hosts - discrete but there if we needed them. The apartment was spotless, well furnished, quiet and quite simply perfect in every way. Our granddaughter and her friends enjoyed the pool and we especially enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. The village of Freshwater and the beach are both short walks away and we soon got the hang of the local buses and Manly ferries.

Active Relaxation

The Freshwater Hideaway is situated on a tree lined avenue and is a seperate upstairs apartment owned by the best hosts possible, Tina and Mike. The apartment is large and airy, with plenty of windows to let the light in but also restrict the summer heat. There are great ceiling fans and air conditioning if required. The two bedrooms are large, comfortable with plenty of storage. The kitchen is big enough with everything required except for a chef but Mike also provided that service on one special night. The narrow toilet is supplemented by a separate large bath and shower suite next door. There were more than enough towels, even big enough to fit round my waist, plus the beach towels. We never ran out, even when my Australian family arrived to try out the pool. The large living/dining area is large enough to hold a dance and the large television has access to multiple channels and everything else that you can do with a television. The best I have left to last, as far as I am concerned, the glass walled veranda, where we sat every day, drinking tea and eating lunch and the location of the second love of my life, the Barbeque, what hours of enjoyment I spent, cooking. There are plenty of cleaning materials supplied, to maintain the clean and bug free environment. The apartment is situated between the two main bus routes and the beach and town centre are, for me an easy and enjoyable 20 minute walk. Tina, Mike and family are excellent hosts. We had a wonderful 6 weeks .

A wonderful experience

The property was fantastic for our family of 4. The place had everything we needed and was situated perfectly - close to cafes/restaurants, the shops and a short bus ride to Manly and the Westfield shopping centre. Tina and Mike are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We would certainly look to stay again on our next trip to Sydney. Thanks for your hospitality and for making us feel so welcome,

Amazing rental. 5 star hosts

What an amazing place. The rental is newly built with a perfect layout. Rooms separated and very well appointed. Beds are firm and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you will need to make simple cup of tea to a 5 course meal. The deck and pool are just perfect for a swim or laying around with the family. If we are back in the area there is no doubt we will be renting this place again. Thanks Tina and Mike for making us feel right at home.
