When we arrived at the location the desk clerk told us there was no reservation for us and that there were supposed to be no more check-ins. She had to call the GM and after a while we were given room keys and were told that our room had been "upgraded" due to the issues. When we got to the room, we noticed a personalized letter thanking us for booking with them, which tells me that the room was the one I had booked and not an "upgrade". What I don't like is being told that we were getting an "upgrade" but it seems to have been a ruse to placate us. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was a thin mattress on top of solid wood. For a "Deluxe King Room" in a hotel with placards everywhere that said how "luxurious" everything was, it left much to be desired. However, the location is beautiful and close to everything that we wanted to see and do.

It was a great location -loved seeing fireworks from our room . The only comment we would have is that we like to sit and read and watch tv in bed and having the lights and tv turn off several times was weird. I read that you had that feature but didn’t realize it applied to when we were in room. The hosts were very helpful as well Thanks

The "hotel-condo" room was fantastic; had a Wow factor. Very big and roomy (except for the drape hooks that are easy to bump into due to the proximity to the edge of the bed. I have a bruise to prove it).The "hotel-condo" lobby staff were very friendly as were all the employees.I would definitely consider staying here again. We loved the fact that the location was pleasant (safe) and that there were restaurants within walking distance. The falls and the border were close as well!PS. I recommend that the owners or management figure out why the TV remotes are not working properly.
