Bel appartement au calme

Les points positifs : bel et grand appartement calme, une piĂšce Ă  vivre trĂšs agrĂ©able, de grandes chambres dans un quartier oĂč toutes les commoditĂ©s sont prĂ©sentes (restaurants, magasins d'alimentation etc). Le mĂ©tro est Ă  300 mĂštres et dessert Manhattan en quelques minutes, ce qui est trĂšs pratique. Il est facile de se stationner. En revanche, l'annonce n'Ă©tait pas totalement conforme : ni table de tennis de table, ni ordinateur contrairement Ă  ce qui Ă©tait annoncĂ©, la TV au sous-sol ne fonctionnait pas. Plusieurs points sont franchement nĂ©gatifs : premiĂšrement, une petite salle de bains avec une simple douche et un lavabo : pour un appartement pour 10 personnes, c'est nettement insuffisant, et les meubles Ă©taient carrĂ©ment vĂ©tustes ! DeuxiĂšmement : l'absence de lave-linge pour un sĂ©jour de plusieurs jours (nous sommes restĂ©s 10 jours) devient vraiment pĂ©nible mĂȘme si un lavomatique est Ă  proximitĂ©, mĂȘme si c'Ă©tait prĂ©cisĂ© dans l'annonce. Il ne s'agit pas d'un manque de place (un lave linge et un sĂšche linge tiendraient facilement au sous-sol) mais on sent plutĂŽt que c'est la volontĂ© de proposer des prestations basiques. Par exemple : une seule petite cuillĂšre pour 4 personnes, 3 couteaux... Le petit jardin n'Ă©tait semble-t-il pas entretenu (herbes hautes): il y a un barbecue mais ni table, ni chaises de jardin ! En rĂ©sumĂ©, l'appartement Ă©tait fonctionnel et au calme mais les prestations Ă©taient basiques. The positive points : nice and calm apartment, a living room very nice, large rooms in an area where all amenities are present (restaurants, grocery stores etc.). The subway is 300 meters away and serves Manhattan in minutes, which is very convenient. It is easy to park. However, the announcement was not entirely consistent: no table tennis table or computer contrary to what was announced, the TV in the basement was not working. Several points are downright negative: first, a small bathroom with a single shower and sink: for an apartment for 10 people, is clearly insufficient, and the furniture was downright antiquated! Second: no washing machine for a stay of several days (we stayed 10 days) becomes really painful even if a laundromat is nearby, although it was stated in the announcement. It is not a lack of room (washer and dryer would take easily in the basement) but we feel rather that it is the desire to offer simple services. For example: one teaspoon for 4 people, 3 knives...

Great location

We wanted to explore and experience Astoria. This was a great place to do it. The accommodations were very comfortable and well located. The neighborhood has many excellent restaurants and good transportation. The N train is an 8 minute walk and gets you into midtown Manhattan in 20 minutes. I recommend this apartment.

Great stay, lovely property

My wife and I have just checked out after a five day stay at this apartment. We have nothing but praise for the whole experience. The flat is clean , warm and comfortable and has everything you might need for a holiday in New York. The subway is a 15 minute walk away - or a short hop on the bus if you have an unlimited metro card - my wife and I are both disabled and the stairs were a bit difficult - we managed though. Vasili and his wife were wonderful hosts and very helpful. The cupcakes on arrival were also a lovely touch. I hope we will be back to see New York again and we would happily stay here.

Ditmars Astoria gem

Quiet, cozy getaway in the middle of charming bustling urban neighborhood. Easy walk to the subway (N and W), grocery, at least 5 gourmet restaurants and countless casual eateries and bars. This is our second stay at this property and Vasili is a wonderful host.

Great apartment in lovely area

We stayed as a family group of 5. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The hosts are lovely and were welcoming and easy to talk to. The immediate area has plenty of shops and restaurants and the subway is only a ten minute walk. Subway into central manhattan only takes around 20-30 mins. A really enjoyable week and would recommend to others.

Perfect place to stay in Queens for a group of 4-6

The unit is uniquely fit right into the Ditmars-Astoria neighborhood of Queens, NYC. And I mean REALLY, literally, uniquely fit. It has one sister unit next door that is actually connected (doors are locked in between), but outside of that is small local businesses everywhere! You take one foot outside, and the neighborhood feels perfectly New York, w/o huge skyscrapers like Manhattan. Vasili was an incredible host, and was always helping us out when we needed to call. I could not find the check in instructions on the app, so I had to call Vasili, but it seemed more like an issue from the development of the application. Plus, Vasili answered right away and we were able to get in quick! The place is clean and VERY spacious. Has a very modern feeling inside as well.

Appartamento fantastico

eravamo in 5 adulti e abbiamo preso il Duplex. Tutto assolutamente fantastico, l'appartamento corrisponde in tutto alle foto e descrizioni messi online. Avevamo tre camere da letto, 2 bagni, cucina attrezzatissima. Subway a 5 minuti a piedi e in 15 mn eravamo a Manhattan. Tantissimo negozi e ristoranti vicino all'appartamento, zona molto carina. Lo raccomando vivamente e Vasili Ăš a completa disposizione.

Great space in a terrific neighborhood

I was here with my daughter for a summer camp for two weeks. We actually rented this part of the rental and a floor above which had two bedrooms, bathroom, larger kitchen and living space so we only used the property shown for sleeping and another bathroom. First, this is located in the heart of Astoria, you step out to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, among many other amenities, including the laundromat close by which we used. it is a safe and family neighborhood where we quickly established a regular coffee shop stop on our way to the subway station which is about .4 mile but we are used to walking so it didn't take long. We came home late at night from shows to a bustling crowd and always felt safe. I was also pleased with how easy it was to check in with the lock box and I always received a quick response from the owner to my questions. For the downstairs space shown, there is a largeish bathroom, a pull-out sofa bed which could fit two young children but not two adults and a bed a back that could sleep two average adults. there was also a pack and play for a baby. The tv worked great and we were able to log on to netflix, hulu, etc. It is located on a bustling street but is very quiet downstairs. If you are only staying downstairs there is a very tiny kitchen but because of all the great restaurants, we usually ate out even if we could cook. Would definitely stay here again.

Steinway Apartment

We enjoyed staying at this apartment & was a short walk -6/7 mins from Ditmars Bvld station. You always got a seat as this was the end of the train line. Allow for station upgrade work at weekends this summer! So handy to get into Manhattan each day.A blind for the front door would be good for privacy. There’s quite a lot provided-bed linen, towels, kitchen dry ingredients, fridge had pizzas in it. Good availability of hot water. The owner communicates v well by email & answers queries efficiently.. Very good choice. 😀

Fabulous location

Me and 3 girlfriends rented this property for 9 nights. We had an amazing time. The apartment is spacious, clean and had the basics for cooking, showering, etc. If we ever had questions Vasili was very quick to answer. We highly recommend this place and the neighbourhood of Astoria. It was a great haven after spending a day in the city and the subway is not far from the apartment. Astoria has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby as well.

Spacious apartment in a great Astoria neighborhood

The place is beautiful, spacious and absolutely spotless. The neighborhood has great shops and many great restaurants. Nice walk to the subway. Allows you the chance to check out the neighborhood.

Great apartment

This apartment is perfect for visiting New York. It’s a short walk to the subway station which takes you into Manhattan. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby also. The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need. Communication with the owner is easy and nothing is too much trouble. If visiting New York we would definitely stay again.

Really clean and very hospitable owners

We absolutely loved our stay in this home! The house was very clean and it had everything that we needed to function for our one month stay. The town of Astoria was quaint and everything that we needed was within walking distance which was nice. We also could not ask for nicer hosts! They responded to any inquiry that we had with lightning speed and they even brought us some goodies from the cutest little bakery on the strip (Martha’s bakery- you should check them out too!) I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the market and we hope to be back ourselves in the future!

Great Location, very thoughtful owners! Great space for family gathering!

We were looking for a place close to NYC in a nice neighborhood, and we found the ideal place. The layout of the place was great, very clean, lots of space and decor was eclectic. Owners were very accommodating and nice! They brought us a tasty cake from a local bakery. Speaking of the neighborhood, it was perfect! Many great restaurants within walking distance on Ditmars. Everything you need is within a short walk including the train to the city. Ditty’s is a nice nightclub spot for late hangout. The bathroom is a little tight, but plenty of hot water for the 7 guests. Parking is difficult to find on the street, but I would suggest using the Parking Lot on Steinway and 20th Ave., the rates were reasonable and it’s a five minute walk to the unit. Overall, you can’t beat this place if you are looking for a family outing or just a place to hangout with friends with quick access to city, restaurants, bars with a very friendly neighborhood vibe. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent stay in Astoria

This apartment perfectly accommodated our group of 4 adults, 3 teenagers and one child. The unit was clean, spacious and included all the comforts of home. There are numerous restaurants, bars, grocery/retail stores and a park nearby. The train is conveniently located and only a short walk away. The owner is extremely accommodating and he quickly responded to my questions. Communicating with him was a breeze. He was even kind enough to welcome us with a delicious marble pound cake that my family enjoyed throughout our entire stay. All in all, this experience made for a memorable visit to NYC!

Amazing place

We visited NY for thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The owner greeted us and was very helpful. He even bought us a pie. The pictures do this place no justice-it’s absolutely beautiful. You’re a 5 min walk to the train station, parking on the Road was free, the grocery store is open 24 hrs , bars and restaurants are all in walking distance. The owner is very nice and has a great personality. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean. We will definitely stay there again when we come back. Do not second guess your stay here-it’s a must!

Big space in ⭐Queens⭐

We loved this place, there’s plenty of room for a small group or a family, we were 3 friends on a weekend getaway, we stayed on the main floor, and basically only slept there, the place was quiet, never heard any noise, and would definately consider staying again, The only thing I’d like to see changed, were the blinds on the front door, and maybe an additional lock from the inside, it’s a great neighborhood everyone is really nice the apartment is really clean, the huge table was beautiful, the furniture was well maintained, plenty of space for everyone to relax, all the basics of home from kitchen to bathrooms to beds, everything was great🌟 thank youđŸ’«
