Welcome to our spacious and comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex located in the heart of the Upper West Side.

Buena ubicación y distribución, pero con detalles a mejorar

La ubicación del apartamento fue excelente, en una zona muy bien conectada y agradable para moverse por Nueva York. La distribución del espacio también nos pareció ideal para un grupo grande como el nuestro (éramos siete personas).Sin embargo, al llegar nos encontramos el apartamento en un estado de limpieza claramente mejorable: había suciedad visible en varias zonas, lo que dio una primera impresión bastante negativa. Aunque al día siguiente nos proporcionaron toallas y sábanas adicionales —algo que agradecimos—, nos sorprendió que no estuviera todo preparado teniendo en cuenta que se sabía el número exacto de huéspedes desde la reserva.En particular, una de las camas, el sofá cama del salón, no estaba hecha ni disponía de ropa de cama. La persona que durmió allí tuvo que arreglárselas la primera noche con una manta que llevábamos del avión, lo cual no es aceptable en este tipo de alojamiento.La comunicación con el propietario fue correcta, aunque algo lenta. Respondía a los mensajes, pero normalmente con varias horas de retraso, lo que dificultó resolver los problemas de forma inmediata.En resumen: el apartamento tiene mucho potencial por su ubicación y espacio, pero la experiencia se vio afectada por la falta de limpieza y de preparación básica. Con una mejor atención a los detalles previos a la llegada de los huéspedes, sería una opción mucho mejor.

Great location - average experience

It is so close to so many things and subway stops. Check in was relatively easy, but had to contact the host when we were almost there because they hadn't called with check in information as they said they would. They responded relatively quickly, with excuses. Once we got instructions, things were easy.We had a few issues, even though we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The place was clean, but cold. The listing didn't mention that one bedroom is in the basement, which was nicely finished. There was no thermostat and just a thin comforter (no blanket) on bed downstairs. The bedding was for a twin bed, so the blanket/comforter doesn’t cover 2. people. We took an extra blanket from the bunk beds upstairs to stay warm. The pots and pans provided were in poor condition, with scratches and loose handles on the non-stick pots. There were only 2 mugs and both were chipped. The toaster was broken. There were 3 of us and there were only 3 bath towels provided for the whole week and no hand towels or wash cloths. The kitchen had no dish towels or paper towels and only a stinky sponge for washing dishes. I had to request these things, which they did provide.We were given check out information, which we followed and were told to take our trash out to a dumpster that did not exist. I texted the host to see where we should leave it and they never responded. At that price, we expected better provided amenities.

Ideal location for family trip to NYC

Two blocks from the Subway (1, 2, 3 lines). Clean and well suited for family of 5. Adults had the downstairs room with our own bathroom and three teen boys shared the upstairs room and bathroom. Hot water lasted for when all of us needed to use both showers to get ready.

Great location

My spouse stayed here with our two small children. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment other than sleeping and showering. For that purpose it’s great. We have Verizon and our phones didn’t get service in the unit. The provider wifi saved the day. The living area is small, wouldn’t be ideal for more than 4-6 people. There’s plenty of spots to sleep but not much hang out space. If you plan to spend a lot of time indoors and you have toddlers be careful! One bedroom and bathroom is accessed by going down stairs. There is no gate and no handrails for the stairs. The apartment does not get much natural light if that is a thing you prefer. For just sleeping, the lighting is ideal. For some reason the listing on VRBO showed it as in the Hudson River when I was looking. So getting the actual location sorted out was a thing. Communicating with the property manager was rather clunky. I felt like I had to do all the initiating. Overall the apartment served our purpose well and we would stay again.
