Marina Hillside Lakefront Retreat

This beautifully renovated lakefront retreat, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals, is perched hillside for sweeping views of Swinging Bridge Lake.  Outdoors the deck includes table seating and a gas grill. Off the deck in the yard you will find a fire pit and a hammock.  The lakeside area includes over 200 ft of wide sandy beach and a private dock.

The lakefront amenity area includes a sand covered beach, volleyball, soccer area, and grassy lawn. Several kayaks are available for your use as well--you can even launch your own boats from the site. Relax along the beach front with lounge chairs and newly added patio.

You have a dock exclusively for your use, and boat rentals are available from Starlight Marina next door. 

Inside you will find an open concept main level with a massive chef's kitchen. Every room on the main level offers dramatic views of the lake from large picture windows. Downstairs there is an additional den with woodstove. There is an electric fireplace in the upstairs living room.

Proximity to Starlight Marina provides additional opportunities. Boat rentals and onsite restaurant are available at the marina during the summer season.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the house and outdoor areas including the lakeside amenity area. The driveway is asphalt and has space for 5 cars. There are various locked owners closets and a storage building that guests should not attempt to access.

The Neighborhood:

Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.

Getting Around:

We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.

Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train/bus access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.

Things To Know:

You will be required to sign a rental agreement after the booking is confirmed. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to upload an approved government identification card or passport when you complete the rental agreement. If you have questions about either of these requirements please message us prior to booking.

Fees may apply for early check-ins, late check-outs, and additional optional services.

Up to two dogs may stay at the property. The first dog is includes in the nightly rate. The second dog incurs a $25/night fee.

The home is adjacent to an active marina. There is potential for noise during the day during the summer. The marina is not open late in the evening.

No more than 5 cars allowed.

The lakeside amenities not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring.
