Most amazing estatewe have ever been to!!

The hosts were extremely accomodating. There were NO issues at all. We strongly recommend this estate. We had such an enjoyable and pleasant stay. It was extremely clean and spacious. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at Hemlock Estate was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt right at home. The house was spotless, warm, and so cozy—perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with family.One of the absolute highlights was the indoor hot tub—such a unique and fun feature! It was a total hit for both the kids and adults, especially after a day of exploring the area. There’s something magical about soaking in a hot tub while looking out at nature through big windows, no matter the weather.The space is beautifully designed with a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Every room was clean, inviting, and thoughtfully put together. We loved gathering in the living area by the fireplace and sharing meals around the dining table in the well-stocked kitchen.The peaceful wooded setting made it feel like our own private retreat, and we left feeling completely recharged. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and clearly care about creating a top-notch experience.Highly recommend Hemlock Estate—whether you’re looking for a fun family escape or a relaxing weekend with friends, this place checks every box. Death Trap in Winter! Unreliable host. Ammenities not working.

Our biggest issue is that the driveway & front steps weren't plowed or shoveled despite receiving enough snow the week before we arrived to cancel or delay schools twice. The 6-8" of snow partially melted & refroze leaving the steep driveway & front steps very slick. We had some injuries as our group unpacked our cars Fri night. I messaged the host asking for someone to plow the driveway & shovel the front steps on Sat so we could pack our cars & get everyone out of the house safely on Sun. I informed her that we were currently parked in the driveway, but would happily move our cars once the plow came (they could call or ring bell upon arrival or she could give us advance notice). Unfortunately, host didn't respond until late Saturday night, saying she sent a plow, but they couldn't plow bc there were cars in the driveway. So, we experienced even more falls & injuries Sun morning on our way out. Completely unacceptable.Additionally, the grill is dirty & completely rusted (inside of lid flakes off onto grill plate upon opening) & unusable.Hot tub was dirty, had a strange smell, & was foaming (w/o jets on, as if soap had been added). Fireplace didn't work. Game room had broken pool sticks, broken foosball table ( missing ball), & furniture in game room wasn't sturdy / in good condition.Positives: Before our stay, host was very good at responding to messages & clarifying additional costs (individuals after first 6, early check-in, etc.). House had enough bedrooms/beds.

Nice location and accommodating host

The host was very accommodating and a good communicator. Location is close to everything and lots of great options for things to do in the area. Large house with many rooms, we didn't' feel crowded. The only negative is the house somewhat dated. Kitchen and some appliances are on the older side, and it gets smoky if you try to cook there. Cook top is burned, some kitchen things need replacement like potholders, rusted/chipped cutting knifes. The main bath's shower head was leaking but was functional enough to take a shower. Hot tub room is gorgeous; however, we had some issues turning the jets on initially, but were able to get it to work after the host gave additional instructions. Overall, a very nice stay.

We had a very nice experience for our elopement celebration with family and friends. The property wasn’t perfect but it was serviceable. Jacuzzi was rusty and out of service. The furniture had a couple of burns. A mouse visited us in the house on day 1, but that may be understandable given the area. Outdoor garbages were full when we arrived. The grill was well-used and required a bit of cleaning before first use. The beds only had the comforter and not the sheet. However, there were plenty of bedrooms and the dining and outdoor spaces were great.

Friends Getaway

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! It's much more spacious than it appears from the outside, and the indoor hot tub and heated pool were fantastic amenities that we enjoyed throughout our visit. The fire pit was perfect for the cooler evenings, and Shira thoughtfully provided firewood, which was a delightful surprise. The only minor drawback was the BBQ, which wasn't as efficient as we'd hoped and took longer to cook our meals. However, the kitchen was fully stocked, allowing us to multitask between the grill and the oven, which made up for it. Overall, a fantastic stay with plenty of comforts and thoughtful touches!

A nice serviceable place for a large gathering.

A clean solid house pleasantly surrounded by woods. A generous heated pool, a spacious central living room, and a large dining room with expandable seating made for good gathering at our family reunions. The house is modest in style, and the basement spaces rather do-it-yourself, but we were comfortable and happy. There are good restaurants in the nearby town for feeding the clan.

Very enjoyable

We had a very enjoyable stay. We had a large family vacation with our children and grandchildren. We had great weather and spent every day at the pool. There was plenty of room around the pool for everyone. The dining room was large enough for all 18 of us and the living room was set up nicely to watch movies in the evening. Our host was very responsive to any questions we sent her. All in all, it was a great place to stay

This property is huge, clean, and gorgeous! me and my wife went for a mini vacation and we were blown away with this place! The host is a great communicator always responding quickly. The grounds are very relaxing, The hot tub is awesome, and the game room in the basement was a great chill. we definitely will be coming back!

Nice house for large groups!

Great property for a large group. Well appointed with a large tv in the family room and a great game room. Some things that could have made our stay better: the house was not as clean as we would have liked and the beds did not have top sheets which was disappointing. Also the kitchen lacked a few basics like dish towels. We were excited to use the indoor fireplace in the TV room (it’s a bit chilly in that room) but found out it actually was not functional. Other than that we enjoyed the property!

Good last minute find for large group

Myself and 20 family members stayed here. The property was much larger than it appeared upon pulling up and Shira was an excellent commmunicator with any questions we had before and during our stay. Missing a few basic kitchen items and lower level bedrooms were very small and didn’t have windows (some appreciated the added darkness, while others didn’t love it but it was fine for 4 nights). Retreat in the Country!

Some friends and I go away for a week in the country every summer. We have been in many houses in the area, and this is one of the best! Great space, lots of bedrooms, very well maintained, and terrific pool. And when we needed anything from the host they responded right away. I highly recommend this property.

Bachelorette Trip

We booked this place for my friend’s bachelorette party and let me tell you it was just perfect! Shira answered any questions I had very promptly which was very helpful! From the pool, hot tub and fire pit there was so much for us to do and enjoy. There was plenty of space to sleep and eat with 14 girls. The place wasn’t too far from restaurants and beautiful lakes. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing get away with great views!

Great Getaway Home

My friends and I had an amazing time staying at this home in Monticello! The pool was warm for a cool day swim, and the house had everything we needed. There was a minor issue during our stay, but the host was responsive and sent someone out right away to fix the problem! I would highly recommend this home for a big group looking to swim and enjoy the outdoors!
