The property was not in a desirable neighborhood. Everywhere you look there are bars on windows and doors. Getting into the building was difficult. Gate codes didn't work so we parked down the street. Hallways and stairwells we're so tight that I had to take one suitcase at a time and barely got up the stairs. Room was clean but obviously decorated on a very limited budget as every dish, glass and utensil was random. It looked like everything came from a garage sale. Towels were old, dark blue with stains. Room was 60 degrees when we walked in and the window AC didn't work properly. I tried adjusting the temp but the buttons didn't work. Power button didn't even work so I unplugged the unit so as not to freeze since it was directly over the bed. Unfortunately, once the loud AC unit was off, the blasting music from down the block kept us up until after 3am, then the neighbors across the hall decided to carry on a conversation for another hour in the hall, so it was impossible to sleep. The bathroom left little to be desired. The tub/shower was tight and the gross plastic shower curtain kept sticking to us. Painting over every light light switch, outlet, and appliance was extra special. I think the owners have great communication and have good intentions. I just felt the property is not well represented. I would never have booked had I known these things.
