Ceci est une retraite de vacances en famille parfaite sur 15 hectares boisĂ©s isolĂ©s dans le parc Adirondack. Notre chalet entiĂšrement meublĂ©, lambrissĂ© de pin et confortable dispose d'un poĂȘle Ă  bois et d'une grande terrasse avec un barbecue au charbon. Un porche grillagĂ© a Ă©tĂ© ajoutĂ© pour les repas d'Ă©tĂ© et la dĂ©tente. Une nouvelle aire de stationnement d'hiver a Ă©tĂ© ajoutĂ©e en haut de l'allĂ©e pour faciliter l'accĂšs Ă  la route par temps de neige.
Profitez du ski, de la randonnĂ©e, du canotage, de la natation, de la pĂȘche, du golf et du tennis Ă  proximitĂ©, ainsi que des excursions d'une journĂ©e Ă  Lake George, Lake Placid et Ă  d'autres sites touristiques. Il y a maintenant un tĂ©lĂ©viseur intelligent Ă  Ă©cran plat de 42 pouces pour diffuser des Ă©missions Ă  partir de votre ordinateur. Il y a aussi une collection de films, WII, Xbox 360 et une imprimante pour votre commoditĂ©. Pluie ou neige, vous serez Ă  l'aise. Il y a des cannes Ă  pĂȘche pour les enfants. So close to Gore! It was large, and the stove was great to warm everyone up after a long day. It was a particularly snowy couple of weeks, and the host has a good contact for plowing and stayed on top of things.

This was the worst VRBO we've ever stayed in. It's sad because it could have been very nice. First of all when we got there we had planned on grilling and grills were snowed and iced in so we decided to broil our steaks. The broiler pan had THICK grease on it and we had to scrub to use it. Two TV's were advertised and there was only one - in the freezing cold unfinished basement and it had no cables with it nor was it even connected to the wall. The book for visitors said there is NO password for the internet but we finally determined you need the number off the modem. The wood stove was supposed to have wood - there was none. The fire pit outside was burried in snow and ice and my husband tried to dig it out but couldn't even begin to make a dent with the flimsy shovel provided. The couch and beds are old and terribly uncomfortable. The pillows were from 1959 and need to be thrown out. The sliding door lock is broken and the door is not square in it's frame so cold air is constantly blowing into the main living area. My husband tried to do a temporary fix with insulation he found to fill in crack. And not to be petty but with all the above issues I'm going to mention the hand soap is all watered down and the place has cobwebs everywhere! There was also supposed to be a place plowed to park in at top of road and it snowed while we were there but it was never plowed. The instructions for leaving only said "leave it better than you found it"

Great communication with the host. Traveled with our family of 5. Very roomy. Close to Gore Mountain. Use of the wood stove was a must to combat the cold temps (-9). Had everything we needed to eat in. Loved the variety of games and books.

This place is great! Both indoor and outdoor wood fireplaces, room enough for plenty of people to do a group trip here. I was there off ski season for fall colors and it was just a beautiful place to relax. Extremely fairly priced for the amount of available room.

Best seal of approval is that we go every year, and we DO. Private setting, roomy house, easy kitchen to cook in, grill on the deck, and accessible to a lot of places if you want to skip that for the day. It is very easy to relax in this place, plenty to do if you are stuck in on rainy days, spacious enough to spread out, and the dogs love it. We never want for more when staying here. Perfect.

There were eight of us for an extended weekend. I did message through VRBO the evening before we went and never got a response. We liked the location, it definitely was secluded. We were pleasantly surprised that there is a Tops less than 15 min away. There was adequate space, and the basement with the pool table was a bonus. A couple things to note- the beds were not very comfortable or quiet, but after hiking all day we did sleep some. The bathrooms were packed with plenty of towels and clean. The kitchen was functional but the pans were in rough shape. There is a coffee maker and Keurig. I only brought regular ground coffee and the coffee pot was gross with burned on coffee crusted in the bottom. One of the screens on the sliding doors was stuck. I would say all in all, it was a nice place for the price, the solitude was great. It would just take a few improvements to make it much better.

Last minute booking

The house is lovely knotty pine throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. Many of our bakery and breakfast items were invaded by ants and thus inedible; even when food was placed in the microwave.The online write up said there would be fans for the bedroom windows. The was only 1 fan for 4 bedrooms. Luckily we were able to borrow 2 from a cousin: it was very hot .When I arrived on Wednesday afternoon my bedroom heaters were on and I didn't know how to turn off. Thank goodness my son in law turned off the next day. I texted the number I had for owner. No response.All in all we were so happy to have found this last minute rental as our original reservation with Inn at Gore Mountain was abruptly cancelled,with no explanation or warning.The downstairs pool table was enjoyed by the men and the children enjoyed the impressive number of movies.I would stay here again and I can imagine it is a wonderful winter ski getaway.

Nice cabin

Cabin is larger than it appears, easily fit my family and dogs. Nestled in the woods but close to major roads. Very close to Gore Mt. Owners are very quick to respond to any questions. Enjoyed our stay

Pine Cabin

Coffee pot was not cleaned, 2 nd floor full bed has an old mattress and they said that they rolled into the middle. It’s an overall nice woodsy cabin. We would stay there again knowing what we’re in store for. A very fair price, with an excellent location to lake George and Gore mountain. Dogs welcome is a plus also

Wonderful Stay!

Me and some friends stayed for a nice little “glamping” Labor Day weekend stay for hiking and just relaxation. The chalet/cabin was quaint, in a wonderfully private location away from busy streets, (a neighbor somewheres on the street had roosters that woke us up at 6 every morning, though). House had a lot of amenities not expected in a cabin. Board/card games a plenty (many are old and some were missing pieces/rules, but there were tons of options), and almost every movie imaginable! Pool table as well, although it’s a little tight quarters for part of it. Plenty of beds for people to sleep in with perfectly functioning bathrooms, though the twin beds were a bit uncomfy. Cabin is rustic, as to be expected; beautiful aesthetic with a lot to love. Was a bit dusty, and insects were a common occurrence, Large spiders, specifically. But this is the Adirondacks we’re talking about, expect that. Rather large wasp nest outside at the peak of the cabin that drew some concern, as a friend is allergic, but they were high up and only 1 got inside. Woods were gorgeous and the outside was terrific. Only wish weather was more cooperative so we could enjoy it more! Prime location, only 30 min. away from Lake George, 10 from Gore Mt., and plenty of other hiking trails nearby. The hosts did a wonderful job with binders showcasing all the nearby restaurants and activities that helped a lot. 100% would recommend this home for a true Adirondacks stay.

Not very well maintaned. There was no generator when power was out and it did go out. Kitchen sink didnt work mentioned to owner and said someone would be stopping by. No one ever stopped by to fix sink asked again and was told it wouldnt be for another 1-2 days. Heat was left on before we got so cabin so it was baking inside with 90 degree weather outside. Even turning the thermostat down it wouldnt shut off. Found a half burnt twisty tie in the toaster. The fridge was on power saving mode and was strong enough to cool properly. The front small roof between the steps looks like it fell awhile ago and was just left the way it is now. The washer also didnt work properly. The cabin layout was very nice otherwise but just needs to be better maintaned and updated. Very secluded and a nice location. If those things were fixed and i was made aware of some these changes or the heat left on before our arrival i might stay here again.
