The Hands Down COOLEST Stay in Fort Worth - Active Airplane Hangar

It's time to start heading towards adventure! Welcome to the The Aviator! A space located within an active airplane hangar. You can capture airplanes as they come and go, grab a drink at the nearest bars or stay in, have your next office meeting, and even take a discovery flight. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just trying to break out of the ordinary, you'll enjoy the Aviator!

*Ask us about our complimentary discovery flight of Fort Worth for stays 3+ nights, based on the availability of the airplane and the pilot.

No pets allowed :( Please let us know if you have a service animal in advance so we can better accommodate you.

There are 2 residential parking spaces for regular sized vehicles (F250s, Trailers, or Tahoes will not fit.) Since this is an active airplane hangar, any additional or oversized vehicles are required to be communicated prior to your reservation - otherwise will not be able to be accommodated.

Note: You will have access to all parts of the airplane hangar, but you only have exclusive access to the upstairs portion. The hangar is used to store planes for a flight school and therefore there might be pilots and instructors in the bay area.

Please do not park outside the hangar. The road is an active taxiway it cars parked outside the hangar with interfere with the planes.
Quiet hours are from 2200 (10:00 pm) to 0700 (7:00 am). Please keep any noise contained to inside of the hangar during these hours.
2 parking spots available, there is an addt section of the hangar, we can accommodate up to an additional 10 vehicles at a fee of $10 per vehicle.

Awesome Cousin Camp!!!

We enjoyed our time at this amazing hangar so much! We chose it to the be the destination for this year's cousin camp we have with our 6 oldest grandkids every year. The accommodations are absolutely perfect for a large group, with lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and gathering spaces! Our kiddos (ages 5-14) had the best time running around this enormous place and we all enjoyed the many games and fun things to do inside and out! The elevator was a huge help as well with carting all our stuff upstairs! Ray is a wonderful host and even took time out of his vacation to answer our questions. We really appreciated that and that this place was so clean and had everything we needed to have an amazing cousin camp! This area is a short drive to many fun adventures in the Fort Worth area, so whether you're just staying in or want to roam, there's always something to do! Highly recommend if you want large, comfortable, and unique lodgings!

This bar area was their '50's soda shoppe where they made us some tasty floats with Bluebell and Olipop! There is no end to the imaginations of children!!

Second stay, still the best

This was our family's second stay. It's a great location with lots of space for small groups. It was perfect for our mini family reunion, with plenty of activities for the kids and adults. It's a Short walk to the Wing It café next to the runway. Ray does a great job of making you feel welcome. Thanks again for another fabulous visit!

Fun, memorable, a one of a kind experience

You can’t find a more interesting place to stay! Besides being in a hanger, the place had billiards, air hockey, foosball, and ping pong. It was clean and the host was communicative, helpful, and friendly - our guys loved the treats. We enjoyed the Wing It Cafe at the airfield. Some of us signed up for flight lessomns! Unforgettable! We hope to be back!

This is the second year we have stayed here for a ministers conference. Everything from check in to check out was top notch. There was plenty of room for 5 couples. The kitchen area was great for early morning fellowship. Will definitely be back next year.

This was a family Christmas celebration stay. VERY spacious living area, diining and kitchen. One large master bath and room. Two bedrooms were small for efficient. Was a very fun stay with the airplanes on the bottom floor below the living area. It sits in the middle of a large hanger area, not appealing from the outside, but fabulous on the inside.

From the moment we arrived, our hosts were extraordinarily amiable and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The unique setting of the hangar was a huge hit with everyone in our group, regardless of age. There was so much to do and explore—plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained and engaged. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It's evident that the hosts take great pride in maintaining a spotless environment. We can't wait to come back and experience this unique gem again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and fun getaway!

Great place for large group. Plenty of room for 10 to sleep. The kitchen & living room had plenty of seating for our group of 10. The house is equipped with everything you need. The property manager -Ray was great to deal with. Will book again for next year.

Perfect Family/Friend Getaway!

This place was way cool..!! Very clean. Huge spaces... and plenty to keep us entertained. We loved our stay. Aside from being excited to be in an active airplane hanger, the house was equipped with many game and entertaining options. Beds were comfortable and every part of the space was very clean. Wouldn't mind staying here again on our next trip to Ft. Worth.
