Chalet au bord du lac situĂ© dans une paisible communautĂ© de lac privĂ© au coeur des montagnes Catskill. 8 personnes Deux heures au nord de New York. A 2 min. en voiture des restaurants au bord de la riviĂšre, Ă©picerie, marchĂ© de producteurs et glaciers. Deux ponts et un patio en pierre avec des siĂšges confortables donnant sur le lac. Le patio en pierre est couvert Ă  30%, idĂ©al pour les jours de pluie. Mur de pierre en vivant oom. Chambre des maĂźtres avec salle de bain privĂ©e. L'air central et chaque chambre a la climatisation individuelle et le chauffage .. L'Ă©tablissement est situĂ© Ă  1,6 km d'une rampe de mise Ă  l'eau et de sentiers de randonnĂ©e sur la riviĂšre Hudson. 15 minutes de la cĂ©lĂšbre zone d'antiquitĂ©s de Warren st. Ă  Hudson. Get Better Cleaning Service

If the property was clean would give a much better rating but it wasn't. Sheets had to be washed, there was a dried up contact left on night stand, the stovetop had crumbs and grim on it and the living room table was dusty and dirty. Says it supplied laundry detergent but there was none so we had to run to store and buy it to wash the bedding

By the Lake

Everything we needed (except a salad spinner - hee hee). We loved having the kayaks - we kayaked and swam every day. Also liked being near the town's Riverside Park where we heard music and saw a film. Enjoyed outside decks on both sides of the house. So many birds to observe from this property.

Family Fun

As soon as the cars were unpacked, my teenage sons went out kayaking. Between that, tennis, the pool, the beach, and walking around the neighborhood, there was always something to do. For those who liked relaxing, sitting on the deck, watching the hummingbirds, and enjoying the lake views while reading was all we could ask for..

Kickoff to summer

The house was just what we needed for our kickoff to summer. We had kids ages 6-10. They loved the canoe and roasting marshmallows. The house was clean and the owners were easy to work with. The nearby pool and beach area was easy to get to.

Great weekend getaway

The house was perfect for a getaway weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. The house was very clean and everything just as described. Aldo did a great job of communicating prior to our arrival so that we had no difficulties getting to the property or knowing where to find things. The lake community is lovely and we will definitely return when we have the chance.

We really loved this house. Gorgeously decorated . Super clean. Private and safe. Owner is very accommodative and communicated with when we needed. This is the best house we have ever rented. Was just freshly renovated. We will be back next year for sure.

Fall getaway

We spent 2 days at this beautiful lake house ,very clean and spacious ..quiet area, great place to relax . Owner was very accommodating, pleasant and easy to communicate with. I love to go back again ,

overall a nice place, owner easily available, needs a little more lighting in/out, you do have to use special trash bags($4.00ea) to use dumpsters, steep driveway really slick when leaves are falling, could use more than 1 tv, a lot of wildlife in the neighborhood, when remodel finished will be real nice

Hudson Valley stay

The Hudson Valley area offers so many opportunities for recreation: biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, sightseeing...and all of them are within a few minutes' drive of the house. If you are looking for an active vacation, this is a great spot. Aldo was a great host and eager to make sure he told us all about the property. The house was clean and comfortable with many different sitting areas depending on the weather and your mood. We enjoyed supper and cards on the deck, S'mores by the firepit, and fishing on the shore! We had a wonderful time!

Relaxing Weekend Trip

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend trip and loved it! The house was clean and comfy, AC worked beautifully, the lake was calm and relaxing while using the kayaks, and it was just a short ride away from high falls - a short hiking trail with a beautiful waterfall at the end. Aldo was a great property manager, able to give recommendations and was very responsive to any texts I sent to him. I would definitely recommend this house.

PERFECT TO RESET

Our stay was amazing! It was looking for the perfect RESET with my family! 1st let me say Aldo is an excellent host. You can tell he takes much pride in his property! It's evident a lot of thought has gone into the process! The property has 3 bedrooms on the main floor. The master (with an amazing view of the lake through the large bedroom window) has its own full bath. The other 2 rooms use the adjacent Full bathroom which is also shared as the main bathroom for the house. The kitchen is small but it was perfect for us to cook all our meals (we did not leave the property once we arrived). The Kitchen opens into the dining room which opens into the living room. The basement was perfect for the Kiddos. There is a living room with TV , a little room with books and foosball table. Then there is a large bedroom with 3 twin beds and a half bathroom in there. The outside is like a little slice of heaven with an amazing view of the lake. The front door has a sitting porch and even though there is one house right next door its is so private. This porch enters the house through the kitchen. There is also a back deck with sliding doors that lead into the living area. Underneath the back deck is a covered area with chairs and ample space in case there is rain or you want shade you can still be outside. NOW my favorite! as you walk down the back deck there is a patio that has a firepit off of it and it leads to the grassy back yard and straight down to the water. We had a fire to roast S'mores every night! There were multiple Kayaks and 1 canoe that Aldo is nice enough to share with his guests. We took many rides on these and think we are addicted now to kayaking! It was so so peaceful! We really appreciated the opportunity to visit this property. It allowed us to forget about the crazy times in the world at this time! We also got stuck last minute without our dog sitter and Aldo allowed us to bring along our well-behaved small dog for a fee. He had a BLAST as well! Aldo you have done an amazing job with this place! TY for sharing it with us and others! Although this place can't get much better but I do have a few thoughts during our stay that I would like to mention. The kitchen needs measuring cups & maybe a stool or 2 for the end of the counter. The slider door in the Living area is very hard to slide. My mom is older and was unable to take kayak adventures she said she really would have loved a TV in main living area!

Cute lake house

We have a great time, plenty space, very cozy, beautiful grounds. Quite, private we love it, my daughters enjoyed the kayak rides, the fire pit and swing outback completed the fun. Definitely we are renting this house again. Aldo the owner was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Great stay at a lakefront property!

Our family group of 5 had a great time at this cabin. Plenty of space, cabin was cozy and rustic. Beds were comfortable, we could have had more people for sure. Huge dining room table great for board games on rainy days. The grounds were beautiful, we kayaked several times - even in mid-October! And the firepit was huge, roaring bonfires every night! We were very impressed!

A Gem in the Catskills

The place was perfect. We enjoyed using the kayaks and fishing canoe several times. We also had a fire every night which made the evenings special. There was plenty of room in the house to spread out and the kitchen had all the essentials needed for cooking. The location is perfect for driving into Hudson or Catskill or even heading over to the Black Horse Farm. Communication with the owner was speedy. We will definetely stay here again.

A Peaceful Lakeside Retreat

The property is a quaint home with a cottage feel at the northern tip of Sleepy Hollow Lake (a lovely north/south oriented lake with countless appendages lined with homes) formed in 1972 by the damming of one of the feeder streams leading to the Hudson river a short drive away. There are nice views to be had from a second floor balcony, from a first floor open porch area situated near a fire pit, or right down at the water's edge. There's ample seating at each spot. The area is heavily forested, so despite the number of homes, one feels comfortably secluded. We went kayaking one day, canoeing the next, and went on excursions to Kaaterskill Falls and some of the local towns nearby. We found a nice roadside fruit and vegetable stand, and elsewhere picked up one of the tastiest mixed berry pies we've ever eaten. No point in listing everything - the fun is in the discovery. Overall the trip was very relaxing. The house itself is well appointed, and like any home of a certain age that isn't constantly occupied, its rustic charm has a few rough edges. This is completely to be expected. We intentionally stay away from Four Seasons experiences. The beds were comfy, the modern bathroom luxurious, and the kitchen has just about anything a cook would require. Our brief encounter with Aldo was pleasant. I will say, for his sake as well as renters', that one should honor the check in and out times, as we arrived early by about twenty minutes and he was still hard at work prepping the house. We're sure there are many more reviews here that will fill in more details, so we leave with a farewell... Thanks, Aldo!

Overall it was a good house. Unfortunately the downstairs area was not suitable for sleeping. The A/C didn’t work so everyone had to sleep upstairs on couches. It really only has 3 usable bedrooms. Kitchen could use a good cleaning-underneath the sink was dirty and there was a lot of frozen food left in the freezer. The house definitely needs a dock or beach where we could sit & play. Could have gotten better for the $

Cool House Warm Lake

This house is so comfy and cute. The lake access is just steps away with a variety of kayaks and a canoe. Life jackets were provided in a variety of sizes and the short 15 minute kayak ride to the Sleepy Hollow beach area/pool is so fun even my ten year old and his friend managed it. No TV in the living room but that just meant we played more games and spent more quality time together. The fire pit and swing outback are also a great addition to the home. Can’t wait to rent again.

Returning Renters

Aldo’s home is comfortable with easy access to the lake. Prior to arrival he checked in to make sure we were healthy and to discuss the cleaning process prior to our arrival. As A nurse, who works in a hospital, this was a perfect get away. We were able to keep our social distance but enjoy some outdoor time. Thank You for having us
