What an incredible place Grant Island is! We stayed at The Floater (house boat) and had an incredible experience. Waking up on the water was truly one of the most peaceful experiences. Will most definitely be back! John is also extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. Well worth it!

Get ready to take a ride on The Floater! Not only are you staying on a floating houseboat, but you also get all the benefits and amenities of Grant Island.

In the evenings, enjoy access to our hot tub, hammocks, diving board, floating dock and fire pit. Jetski, ATV, SUP, and Kayak rentals are available too, and as our guest, you get a 20% discount on all vehicle rentals! Customize your dream vacation with exploring our areas top notch ATV Trails or explore Brantingham Lake on our Jetskis.

We tried to think of everything possible to make this location the perfect experience. Our bed is a double-size bed with top quality mattress, linens and sheets. You have panoramic views over Brantingham Lake right from your bed.

The cottage has a mini fridge, hot water pot, BBQ Grill, and plenty of space for your food and drinks.

Need to work remotely? There is a 10 mbps wifi that you’ll have in your accommodations, but in the beach and common areas its up to 300 mbps on our 5G signal.

Other than your private houseboat, most of the following amenities are available to you but are not private to you. We have other cottage rentals on the island, and these guests also share them.

We have a full size bathroom and shower on the island, that is 100 feet away. You have a romantic private walkway along the island water front that leads you straight to the facilities.

HotTub is perfect for those cool evenings with you and your partner.

Come chill out at our fire pit, bring your smores, and play your favorite evening campfire music on our waterfront system.

We have some of the darkest skys in New England. It's an amazing place to StarGaze. For 2025 we will have a Telescope for exploring the skies.

We have a diving board and floating raft for swimming.

In addition to the electric boat, you have access to a rowboat and canoe, which are also included with your stay.

We rent jet skis, ATVs, SUPs, kayaks, pontoon boats, paddleboats, and many more cool adventure-seeking toys. As a guest, you are granted a 30% discount on all vehicle rentals. So its easy to upgrade your stay with a pontoon boat.

When you reserve, we send you our house manual with the discount voucher, and you can book online from our website super easily. We’ll have everything ready for your reserved time.

Go fishing or just enjoy bird watching for our local loons, bald eagles, ducks, and other amazing animals on the lake.

We are dog-friendly and love pets. For this cottage, we allow one dog with a 20-pound weight limit.

Other pets are on the island, so please note that no aggressive pets are allowed.

The parking area is about 2500 feet away on the mainland. When you arrive, we arrange to meet you at the parking area, bring you to the island, and get you oriented and answer any questions you may have.

From there you are free to come and go with your electric boat. Were always happy to give you a ride on our pontoon boat as well.

Other Things to Note:
There is one parking spot available and included in this rental. If you have two cars there is an additional fee of $25 per night. Please advise us before your arrival if you will need two parking spots.

One small dog is allowed for this rental. There is a $50 pet fee for a small dog. Small dogs are considered 20 lbs or less.

Interaction with Guests:
Please be aware we have limited parking available on the mainland. We have space for 1 vehicle.

If you have 2nd vehicle ( Trailers would be included in this figure ) we can accommodate you but we request that you advise us of the additional vehicles so we can properly prepare.

There is an additional parking fee of $25 per night for a second vehicle.

Please advise us if you will be arriving with more than 1 vehicle so we can plan accordingly for you.



The owners have a small dog and other guests may have pets as well, so its required that if you bring any pets that they are non-aggressive in every way.With any large property there are inherent risks.
We have a personal and pet waiver that all guests must sign before arrival.
