Finger Lakes: Lamoka Hideaway

Lamoka Hideaway is a log cabin "tiny home" and a separate bungalow (think eco-friendly) in a grove of swaying locust trees. Take in all the modern amenities enveloped in pine & natural finishes in a camp-like setting. Mostly surrounded by woods with a rustling creek nearby, this œ-acre property also includes a dock with 15' of frontage on Lamoka Lake's eastern shore that's only a 5-minute walk away. Kayak, swim or fish to your hearts' content and then return to your private oasis to relax.

The two separate dwellings on your own property allow you sleeping/living flexibility. Stay in the Bungalow and take in a good book (or nap!) in the cozy nook's leather recliner. Luxury linens on the queen bed will ensure a good night's sleep. The "eco" œ-bath is an added convenience. Join members of your group at the fire ring, picnic tables or on the porch of the Log Cabin, or just lounge comfortably in the hammock or pergola swing. Staying in the Log Cabin affords you all the comforts of home: a full kitchen and bath as well as a comfortable sleeper sofa and dining area are included. Cook inside, on the propane grill, or head out to one of the Finger Lakes' fantastic restaurants. Our complimentary "S'mores Station" is ready for campfire treats! The possibilities for fun and relaxation at this peaceful place are endless!

This has to be one of my favorite VBRO stays. The property was in a beautiful, tranquil setting. It was clean and had all the amenities you could wish for. We enjoyed nights around the firepit and mornings kayaking on the lake. It was ideally situation between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. It was a great base from which to explore all the region has to offer. Ken was a gracious and responsive host. We really appreciated the tour of the property. The s'more's bar was such a nice treat!

FIVE STAR FABULOUS!!! This place is simply a small slice of heaven on earth! The accommodations are comfortable and clean. You won't have to worry about relaxing, it comes naturally. Walk to the lake, complete with a dock and kayaks and everything you need for a fabulous family vacation, including s'mores and fire pit.
So peaceful that even the deer stop by for a visit.

Wow! This site is the perfect lil get-away spot for a family/ friends who want to stay at an immaculately maintained, private, lake-accesible, amenity-filled place. Ken is the perfect host who provides exactly what is needed for a home away from home. The cabin sleeps four very comfortably, and the bungalow sleeps two. The kitchen facilities are wonderful, and have everything you need. The outdoor area is pefect: plenty of space, two big picnic tables, a fire pit (& smores station), yard games, a hammock, a swing-- Ken has thought of it all. There are even two kayaks at the lake, a short walk away. The wi-fi was fast too. If you are looking for a great spot to stay while you explore the area, or just to relax, this is it. Highly recommend. We look forward to another stay here sometime.

Loved Lamoka Hideaway!

Had such a wonderful time staying at this unique property. Everything was exactly as described online and Ken was easy to work and coordinate with. Very cozy and comfortable. Especially appreciated that everything was set and ready for us to have a fire in the fire ring - s’mores included! Would love to return again sometime.

A Special Gem in the Finger Lakes

Lamoka Hideaway is a special gem in the Finger Lakes. The log cabin has all of the comforts of home in a pristine log cabin. The cute bungalow is comfortable and provided separate quiet time at the end of the day and sleeping quarters. The amenities including the use of games, kayaks, large fire pit, s'more station, and gas grill made for a wonderful and relaxing stay! Perfect getaway with friends


We could not have been happier with our stay at the Lamoka Hideaway. The property was very clean, warm, and welcoming. This was our first time using VRBO, and our expectations were exceeded. A Finger Lakes' Region Find

We always appreciate Hosts who go out of their way to think about what you might need and make themselves available to welcome you to their property. Ken our Host did just that. He greeted us at the cabin, and walked us through the various features of the property. The cabin and property were immaculate and reflected a lot of thought had gone into making the property a desirable place to relax. The grounds were as special as the cabin, and you won't find a better campfire setting, made special by the landscape lighting and woods which bordered three sides of the property. Thanks again Ken! We'll be back!

Everything we expected and more!

Took my family on our annual summer vacation and we had a wonderful time! The accommodations were excellent and very clean. The host met us at the Cabin and did a thorough walk-through with us and showed us we’re everything was. The yard space was absolutely beautiful and very very well kept. We used the fire pit daily and enjoyed the ambience of the beautiful lighting strung around the beautiful picnic table. A 4 mins walk to the water where we had access to a private dock and 2 kayaks. They had plenty of yard game’s available and board games inside as well. We would highly recommend! I have always wanted to stay in a tiny house and it definitely met my expectations!

It's a Gem!

Ken was our primary contact for Lamoka Hideaway, and both were spectacular! The hideaway is on a beautifully, well-groomed property and the cabin and bungalow were equally taken care of. The level of cleanliness met our high expectations, as well as Ken's level of communication and respect for our privacy. We were 15 minutes from Watkins Glenn State Park, Seneca Lake, and close proximity to Keuka Lake. Our 15- and 20-year-old children loved the privacy the bungalow offered and the kayaks. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you, Ken & Duane!

Beautiful

Ken is a great host. The cabin and property are beautifully maintained. Although it is not right on the lake, you have a small view and it is a short walk to the kayaks and dock. It is a great place to watch sunset! I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and peaceful!

Lamoka Hideaway was just lovely! We stayed for the Wineglass Marathon weekend and were 15-25 minutes from everything we needed. The property is beautiful and perfectly clean, and owners truly thought of everything. We so appreciated being greeted upon arrival in order to make the most of all the property has to offer. On a cool fall weekend, we took advantage of the firepit, hammock, and strolled to the lake. We also loved pulling up in the evening and seeing the pretty strong lights and trees lit up :) If looking for a peaceful getaway near the Finger Lakes, this is such a perfect spot.

Relax in comfort and style!

What a gem! Though technically a cabin, this property is cozy, comfortable and decked out with all the amenities, games and leisure spaces that you could ask for. On top of that it is beautiful there, has great location and Ken our host is welcoming, helpful and communicates very well. 5 star, would stay again, book it if you can!

Owner thought of everything

We enjoyed our stay. We used the fire pit daily as well as the outdoor gas grill. The outdoor lighting was very nice and added to the coziness. The place was exceptionally clean and well stocked. There were outdoor games, s’mores station, marshmallow sticks, stocked fire wood, flashlights, wagon for hauling stuff back and forth to the lake, kayaks, life jackets, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It was a short 15 min drive to Watkins Glenn-Beautiful state park in a quaint, walkable small town. A great, relaxing getaway!

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful! There were so many spaces to enjoy like the fire pit, the swing, the hammock, the porch of the bungalow with the rocking chairs and within a 5 min walk to the lake. This property has eveything that you need. Ken also was very attentive and responsive throughout the rental. Cannot think if a better place to stay for a few days in the finger lakes. Highly recommend.
