Welcome to Highlands Lake House, a welcoming five-bedroom country home located directly across the road from Lake Tinaroo. With the water just steps away, this spacious standalone property is perfectly positioned for families who want easy access to lake days, outdoor adventures, and relaxed evenings together.What you will love

The home is arranged across a single level, making it easy to move through and thoughtfully set up for both shared moments and private downtime. The main living and dining area creates a central gathering space where everyone can come together after a day exploring the lake or the surrounding Tablelands. The kitchen is practical and well-equipped, making it straightforward to prepare meals for larger groups.

The home includes two bathrooms. The main bathroom features a shower with a step-in entry that doubles as a bath, along with a separate toilet. The second bathroom includes a shower and toilet and is combined with the laundry for convenience.Outdoors, the atmosphere is relaxed and easy.
After a day kayaking, swimming, or exploring nearby walking tracks, gather outside for a BBQ dinner together. It is the kind of setting where conversations stretch longer, kids play nearby, and evenings feel unhurried under the open sky. Family-friendly extras include a high chair, porta-cot, games, books, and a kids room stocked with activities to keep younger guests entertained from morning to night.
The Atherton Tablelands has more than enough to fill a full week. From the Curtain Fig Tree and platypus spotting at Peterson Creek to crater lake swims at Lake Eacham and the monthly Yungaburra markets, Highlands Lake House is the perfect base to slow down, explore at your own pace, and make the most of one of Far North Queensland`s most beautiful corners.

Please answer the pre-booking questions truthfully to ensure the space suits your needs, and carefully read the check-in instructions that will be sent before your arrival.
Please note that we provide a starter amenity kit that includes a few essentials for your convenience, but for longer stays, you may need to go shopping to re-stock.
Please remember that you are in a residential setting. We remind you to respect the neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum.
No Unregistered Guests: Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No unregistered visitors are permitted inside the property.
This property has a strict no party, no smoking, and no pet policy. Any breach will result in immediate cancellation or eviction.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM via self check-in with a key safe.
Check-out is before 10:00 AM. Unauthorised late check outs may incur a fee. Please follow the check out instructions sent to you and make sure you are familiar with where to leave your keys.
Guests may be charged for additional housekeeping if the property requires extra cleaning time.
Guests will be charged for replacing lost keys or fobs as well as a call-out fee, if required.
Boats and jet skis must be launched at the `Tinaburra Drive Boat Ramp`. Launching from the private pontoon is not permitted.
Any smoking inside the property will result in charges to have the property professionally deodorised and furniture and carpets steam cleaned.
Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy is firm. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover your trip in case of emergencies, illness, extreme weather, etc. Any refund requests outside of our cancellation policy will be declined. We are happy to provide documentation to your travel insurance company to help expedite your claim.
