Escape to your own private desert sanctuary. Perched on 5 secluded acres overlooking Homestead Valley Canyon, Mojave Stargazer offers something rare: true solitude under some of the darkest skies in Southern California. This isn`t just a vacation rental—it`s a front-row seat to the cosmos.

Watch the Milky Way from your canyon-view swing, fall asleep to absolute silence, wake to sunrise over endless desert. This freshly renovated 3-bedroom retreat sleeps 6 with curated designer furnishings and local art. Two queen bedrooms, one bunk room (sleeps 2), plus a queen sofa bed.

Outside is where the magic happens. Outdoor shower under open sky, fire pit for stargazing, spacious deck with BBQ facing the canyon, hammock, swing positioned for sunrises, and private hiking trail. Joshua Tree National Park is 30 minutes away, but you may never want to leave.

Intentionally screen-free (no TVs) to encourage genuine connection. Fully stocked kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, Breville toaster oven, Keurig, French press. Reliable Starlink internet (300+ Mbps) when you need it. Central AC/heat, washer/dryer, keyless entry, Bluetooth speaker, large driveway fits RVs.

Families welcome—high chair, mini-crib, toys, dollhouse, books, horseshoe ring. Please notify us if children will be staying.

Location notes: Truly remote with short off-road access (high-clearance vehicles recommended but not required). Limited cell service (T-Mobile works best). Bring your own firewood.

NEIGHBORHOOD INFO:

The Mojave Stargazer is located in the Flamingo Heights quarter of Yucca Valley, a quiet enclave only 10-15 min by car from the town of Yucca Valley, 25 min to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, 15 min to historic Pioneertown, and just 1 hour to Big Bear Lake and Palm Springs. The area is one of the few neighborhoods remaining in the High Desert with large lots bordering National Park land, making the properties around us unique, private and boasting breathtaking views. The sunsets behind Mount Gorgonio and the sunrises over the horizon of Homestead Valley Canyon will make you feel reenergized and deeply relaxed.

Please note that this home is accessible by dirt road, which is common in the Yucca Valley area.

The best way to get around in the High Desert is by car. The closest restaurants and convenience stores are all just a 5 min drive away, and the home is only 15 minutes from the town of Yucca Valley and everything on Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Hwy), which offers many grocery stores, restaurants and unique shops. It is only an hour drive to Palm Springs or Big Bear Lake.

We are also close to many extraordinary hikes in the area, and perfectly situated for visiting Joshua Tree Park, Sand to Snow Monument, Indian Cove and all the Mojave Desert has to offer.

Even though the house is at the end of a dirt/sand road, you DO NOT need a 4X4 vehicle to access the house. However, we are located in the BEST spot in the High Desert to go off-roading, and the property includes its own slope down to the canyon that will launch you into an off-roading desert adventure.

If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Uber and Lyft are available as well, but the wait times may increase due to the more remote location of this home.

PLEASE NOTE:

This property does feature outdoor cameras for security purposes. These cameras are turned off when guests arrive and will not be active during your stay.

By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement. You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.

Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!

There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out.

For stays over 30 days, we offer optional mid-stay cleanings for an additional fee. These provide a full refresh of the home and linens, and we recommend scheduling one every 15 days. Our professional housekeeping team is paid a fair, livable wage and plays a vital role in ensuring each stay is comfortable and exceptionally clean.

Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.

Utility Usage: Utilities are included up to the property’s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges. If applicable, payment for utility overages is due within 14 days of check-out.

- Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at checkout.

- Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in an additional charge of up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.

- For any items left behind after check-out, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $25.

- All 30+ day stays require mid-stay cleanings by our professional housekeeping team. Payment will be requested after booking confirmation.

- The AC cannot be set lower that 75 degrees when the outdoor temperature exceeds 100s. If tampering with the HVAC equipment causes any issues which require a service call and/or repairs, this will be billable to your party

- Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damages must be reported immediately to the host to ensure proper documentation.

Desert getaway with the stars

It was a great experience the owners offer in the house lots of amenities that upgrade the activities you Can do in your vacation. The cooking stuff makes it a better experience they all the pans, plates, bbq stuff, soaps are from coconut, Charcoal and organic products, laundry, fire place, games and the pool
