If you’re off to explore the coastline, begin by taking a leisurely stroll or short drive to the beach to spend full days on the sparkling sand soaking up the plentiful sunshine. The iconic Cape Neddick Nubble Lighthouse, a short 13-minute drive north, stands proudly atop a rocky outcrop, offering picture-perfect moments to capture the glittering sunrise or sunset. On your way there, you’ll run into a variety of options to get your shopping and dining on, or you can head in the opposite direction to check out historic York Harbor and York Corner for even more local treasures. For the nature lovers, there are a number of hiking trails in the area, including the Mount Agamenticus Trail which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The adjacent Hartley Mason Park provides benches, shade, outdoor showers, and public restrooms. You can also enjoy the scenic Fishermen’s and Cliff Walk paths that wind along the oceanfront. Lifeguards are on duty in summer, and parking is available via trolley or public spots along Route 1 A. It’s a delightful blend of serene seaside charm and natural beauty, all within easy reach.
