Wir waren im obersten Stock einquartiert, super schöne Aussicht aber auch viele viele steile Treppen. Zimmer stilvoll, sauber, Bad nit Wanne richtig schön! Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen, es fehlt an nichts! Auch extra Wünsche werden gerne erfüllt. Die Gastgeber sind so richtig britisch aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Eine wahre Freude solche Menschen zu begegnen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Very friendly welcome staff were all good & helpful,breakfast was delicious & lots of choice. Room a good size but not quite a superior twin- carpets definitely needed cleaning there were several distinct marks. R oom was lovely & warm & comfortable asked for de caf tea & coffee the gentle man couldn 't find any.Good car park great location for York

Our room was nothing like anyone shown on the website. Small and cramped, only one bedside table for a double bed. The bathroom was so small, nowhere to put any toiletries. Bathroom light did not work. Bed was so low almost felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Don’t get me started on the mattress. Access to the dining room really difficult for people troubled with steps.....me!

Holmwood House decided to move us without agreement to another hotel the other side of the city which was unacceptable

Night away in out favourite city ,

We have been here twice now , great location , a lovely stroll into town , York never ceases to amaze me , we've been coming over 14 years and we love the city , and thus B and B wax perfect , will stay again most definately

Lovely hotel situated less than a mile outside York, easy walk or excellent public transport into.
