The Space:

Little Blue Wren by Tiny Away is a pet-friendly, off-grid tiny house located in the Dindi area, northeast of Melbourne. Enjoy nearby attractions such as Four Pillars Gin Distillery, Sedona Estate, the Great Victorian Rail Trail, and local favourites including Marmalades, Yea Take-Aways, and Yea Bakery.



A cozy 157-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



IMPORTANT NOTE: This off-grid unit runs on solar power with limited electricity. To avoid outages, please use power sparingly—especially during the day—and limit usage to late afternoon or evening when necessary.



- Only fully house-trained pets are welcome. A $30 PET FEE per stay applies.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and its 8-acre property, including the designated walkways for guests to explore. So, please check the map provided upon your arrival.



Advisory:



- We recommend bringing your own transportation, as there are no Ubers available.



Guests also have access to complimentary amenities, including a BBQ, indoor fireplace, and the first bucket of firewood for 1-night stays. Pre-orders available—please order at least 24 hours before arrival.

The Neighborhood:

Little Blue Wren by Tiny Away is a pet-friendly holiday home ideally located between the Yarra Valley and Victoria's High Country. A two-night stay is recommended to explore local markets, wineries, and popular eateries like Marmalades, Yea Take-Aways, and Yea Bakery.



For nature lovers, nearby highlights include Four Pillars Gin Distillery, the towering Redwood Forest, Yea Wetlands for picnics, the historic Great Victorian Rail Trail, and Puffing Billy Railway for scenic steam train rides.



If you're looking to venture further, don't miss King Parrot Creek for fishing, Lake Mountain for alpine views, Sedona Estate for local wine, and the Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk, where a peaceful boardwalk winds through lush rainforest.



Getting Around:

By car:



- 10 mins to Rail trail

- 20 mins drive to Wineries

- 40 mins drive from Snow

- 1 hr drive from Bendigo

- 1 hr drive from Melbourne

- 20 mins drive to Waterfalls, Rainforest, and more

- Takeaway Cafe, Golf club, pub, restaurants - 5 minutes drive



By public transport:



- There are no taxis available that travel directly to and from Yea.

To travel from Melbourne and Bendigo to Yea, you have a couple of options:



From Melbourne to Yea:



- By Train, you can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Seymour. From Seymour, you can catch a bus or taxi to Yea, which is about a 30-minute drive away.



From Bendigo to Yea:



- By Train, you can take a V/Line train from Bendigo to Melbourne and then follow the Melbourne to Yea options listed above.



Additional Tips: Please check train and bus schedules in advance for the most current information.

Consider carpooling or rideshare options if available.



Other Things to Note:

- No WiFi

- Pet-friendly/Off-grid unit

- No smoking allowed on the property

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Buy firewood at any service station or supermarket

- Please refer to our off-grid guidelines, which will be sent prior to booking

- Mobile reception is good for Telstra only. Other networks work at a distance

- Compost bins are provided, but food scraps should be disposed of in a separate bin

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Only fully house-trained pets are allowed, with a $30 fee per stay. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times while on the property. A detailed pet policy will be provided prior to your arrival.



Guest Advisory



- Guests are restricted from walking in tall grasses and taking long drops into the creek

- Guests are advised to wear long loose pants and closed-toe shoes to avoid snake bites

- We ask guests to refrain from entering wildlife areas, children are welcome under SUPERVISION

- Outdoor fire pits can be used but has restrictions. No fires allowed in during fire declaration period.

- Please stay within the permitted areas or areas that have been mowed, especially paddocks that may be calving or have bulls in place at the time. Kindly check the map provided to see guest's accessibility within the property.



Important note:



- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
