Modern and contemporary brick-built lodge. One double with TV and en suite and two twin bedrooms. Spacious family shower room with sink and W.C.. Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The accommodation also features its own sitting-out area with picnic table.

Good pet friendly bungalow suitable for family of six.3 beds with one en-suite and good size family shower room (nice walk in shower).Open plan living room/kitchen/diner with good facilities (washer drier, fridge & a fridge freezer, dish washer, gas hob and gas/electric oven. Iron, vacuum cleaner and normal cleaning equipment.Not much storage in kitchen and cooking/eating utensils a bit sparse.Lounge area good with decent TV (TV in main bedroom as well).All in all good for family holidays.

Our accommodation “ocean breeze 3 bed villa” was clean & spacious.

Our accommodation “ocean breeze 3 bed villa” was clean & spacious. We had beds made on arrival & towels were provided. Only “pets welcome” villa was left when we booked, but you would never have known pets had been there. Complex was big & had lots of activities. We swam indoors & outdoors. “Heated” to a degree, but thankful of any heat. Get to Reception early to claim your tickets for the outdoor pool as they go fast. Amusements were good fun. Cinema looked good. The wave surfing was brilliant, but again book this as soon as you arrive as slots fill fast. The Old Mill pub was lovely with food served quickly & a nice play area for the children. The shop on site was well stocked & had lots of souvenirs, toys, etc. There was no toilet roll or bin bags provided at all. Also no pack was provided for washing & drying in the kitchen so remember to bring your own washing up liquid, dishcloths, sponges, tea towel, bin bags & toilet roll, etc, or expect to buy everything at the shop. In our accommodation we also had a slimline dishwasher & a washing machine, but heads up, you must bring or buy your own dishwasher tablets & laundry detergent, etc. No salt or pepper either - our McDonald’s sachets from the car saved us! One & only complaint was Hoseasons described our accommodation with “Wi-Fi free of charge” but the smart tv did not connect so we couldn’t watch prime video, Netflix, etc. Reception told us the next morning that wi-fi is not provided in the accommodation itself, only the main complex. I asked why was it advertised like this & why were smart TVs provided - they said to complain directly to Hoseasons about their advertising & that the most up to date TVs Verdant Leisure can buy would probably have smart tv included. Fair point, but don’t expect any Wi-Fi in your accommodation. With our children we played games instead of watching TV after 9pm as many of the freeview channels were inappropriate. The site is a great base exploring North Devon. We visited Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth, National Exmoor Park, Barnstaple & everywhere was under the hour travel. We used the bus one day which was fun. Check out the bus routes ahead to plan your travel if you don’t fancy driving. Would highly recommend, enjoy!
