Mole Cottage, Orford

Mole Cottage is a pretty traditionally styled three storey holiday home with a sunny garden sitting in the heart of the quintessentially English village of Orford on the Suffolk Coast. This self-catering cottage has been sympathetically renovated whilst retaining period features throughout the ground floor, two doubles and a twin on the first floor and the double perched at the top.

You’re welcomed into the hall with the stairs ahead of you and doors to the living room on the right, leading through to the dining room and kitchen with access to the garden beyond. The stairs are typically steep for a period property, carpeted and have a handrail.

LIVING ROOM
A cosy and comfortable room with two sofas and a coffee table positioned so you can enjoy the warmth of the open fire and watch TV. There’s an additional chai, shelves stacked with books and cupboards with games to play.

DINING ROOM
An elegant room beautifully furnished room with a sturdy table and chairs for six guests and a dresser full of glassware and crockery.

KITCHEN
Conveniently opening off the dining room with a door to the garden for al fresco dining, this large light kitchen has everything you need to cater at home – an electric waist height oven and separate grill, a fridge (3 shelves, a bottle rack and veg drawer), freezer (2 drawers and a shelf), a microwave, washing machine, toaster and kettle. There’s a quirky table and chairs and lots of cookery books on the shelves to inspire you.

FIRST FLOOR
The stairs take you to the first floor landing where doors open to the bathroom, twin and double rooms. A 2nd steep staircase takes you to the top floor suite.

DOUBLE
At the front of Mole Cottage, this pretty room is furnished with a double bed, space for your belongings in bedside drawers and a wardrobe.

TWIN
Sitting quietly at the back of the cottage with twin beds, bedside drawers and a wardrobe so you can unpack and settle in.

BATHROOM
An attractive and spacious bathroom with natural light. There’s a rain shower over the bath, a shower screen and grab rails, a wash basin, WC and chair.

TOP FLOOR SUITE
Perched at the top of the house, this attractive room has a king size bed, bedside tables, a chest of drwers, chair and wardrobe.
EN-SUITE
Simply with a shower cubicle, WC, wash basin and skylight.

OUTSIDE
This mid-terraced holiday cottage is on the roadside on the way into town with unrestricted parking in front and opposite. You’ll love the sweet little gravel garden with a table and chairs under a pergola in the summer months, and a bench, chair and coffee table beyond so you can move to catch the sun/shade. The access is through the kitchen or via a path at the back so you could wheel bikes through to store them safely with plenty of fantastic cycle routes to explore in the area.
