windrock ridge luxury cabin - 5 min from windrock general store

This cabin was built piece by piece board by board mostly from the oak and pine wood we got from our land. All the cabin is custom made. We built it with the guest in mind, the back porch is more than 400 sf above the valley with gorgeous views. This cabin sleeps 16 people comfortably. This cabin has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths and 2 full kitchens. There is a hot tub in the lower back porch. There is a separate living area that can be utilized for separate groups that want to be together but have privacy. There is a smaller cabin that sleeps 6 on the same property that are in walking distance from one another. Please ask for details. This is located about 5 min drive from windrock general store no trailer needed.

Layout worked well for multiple partiesBasement had a lingering smell. You could smell it when you opened up the door to go downstairs.Basement bathroom smelled like moldy pee after warming up the basement with the propane heater. Also noticeable black mold around shower. Kitchen was stocked with essentialsBring your own toilet paper if you will be there a long weekend.Up stairs towel rack was broken. Shower curtain liner had ripped hanger spots. Driveway is difficult to get up. Ripped our trailer taillights. Very tight turns and not alot of room for trucks and trailers.

Overall nice play to ride from

Cabin is very nice. Only issue was getting door code day of rental, but got resolved just before we got to the property. Driveway up to the cabin is very steep. Would recommend anyone with a trailer and coming off of 308 direction to drive past property address and turn around in a safe area then come in from opposite direction. Over all was an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to anyone who looking for a near by place to stay while riding Windrock Park.

Awesome

The owner was awesome. The neighbors dogs were a nuisance. We had a great time. I do however recommend that you have 4wd if you want to climb up to get to the cabin especially in the rain. The owner and his friends were our next door neighbors for the weekend and they were so friendly and checked up on us. Whoever cleans needs to do a little bit better though. We found dirty dishes and undergarments. It was so beautiful and secluded. My granddaughter did not want to leave this morning. I do hope to be back. We left a wine glass for to add to your glasses. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

We had a group of 15 from WV stay and we had a great time. I will let everyone know, there are stray dogs that are running around the area and even in coolers and closed boxes, they were able to get into our food on the front porch. So anything extra, I would put on the back porch. But other than that, we had a great time this week!

Our stay was great! We loved the cabin and the location was very convenient for what we were there for! The owner was quick to respond when we had questions. The place was pretty clean for the most part. The only “bad” thing was there was some muddy clothes left on the back deck, I assume from the previous people who stayed, that didn’t get picked up before we arrived. But we just moved them to the side, they didn’t bother us. The beds were super comfortable!

Great Cabin!

The cabin was beautiful! We had a few minor hiccups, but they were resolved quickly. The host reached out throughout our stay to check on us. I would recommend 4-Wheel Drive to get up the driveway if you have a trailer. We weren't able to sleep in the basement due to the cold temperature. It was an overall great cabin!

Amazing Cabin, Perfect Location!

We absolutely LOVED this cabin. The location was perfect in relation to riding at Windrock. Once we parked the trucks and unloaded, we didn’t touch the trucks again until it was time to head home. If you have a loaded trailer, you will need 4 wheel drive on the driveway but we had no issues. The cabin was clean, provided everything we could need, and had amazing views. I got some gorgeous pictures off the deck. The host was also very responsive and great to deal with! We cooked 2 meals a day at the cabin (for 6 adults) and had basically everything we needed!

The cabin was absolutely awesome and exceeded expectations, only thing that should be disclosed is the sharp turn into the driveway and the grade of the driveway, if I didn’t have a 4wd truck it would have been a problem towing a loaded trailer

Spacious cabin!

Great new cabin! Very spacious with 2 of the bedrooms with king size beds- nice bonus as most homes don’t offer this! Beds were very comfortable too Kitchen was well stocked with pots/ pans etc. Front and back porch offered a cozy place to take in the scenery. Cabin was clean and nicely decorated. Easy access to WindRock park. Owner was easily accessible. We will be coming back!!
