The Apartment:
The Snuggle is on the ground floor of a three storey apartment block. (The apartment above has two floors). It has it`s own private entrance from the street with three steps up to the front door. The apartment is all on one level and consists of an open plan lounge/dining area with a sofa bed which folds down to the size of a large single/three quarter bed. To avoid damage to the sofa bed we will make this up for guests and provide the additional linen. This option can be purchased via your Boarding Pass once your booking is confirmed for an additional charge of £30 per stay. The lounge has a 39` JVC Smart TV and a smart speaker. Leading off the lounge/diner is the kitchen which contains a gas hob and oven, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a shower room with a mains shower, toilet and basin. There is also a table and benches at the front of the property so you can enjoy some time outside.
Guest Verification and Good Housekeeping Bond or Waiver:
Once your booking is confirmed, we request a contact email address and mobile phone number which we can use to contact you during your stay as part of the guest verification process. Also, to encourage all guests to respect the property and its contents, we ask for a refundable Good Housekeeping Bond of £400 to be placed as a hold against a card by your card issuer, or alternatively, we allow guests to pay a non-refundable £40 Bond Waiver. Completing these two steps is mandatory as it allows access to your personalised Boarding Pass which provides all the details for your stay, advice about activities, electronic manuals, directions to the property and the latest key safe code. This Boarding Pass is provided in conjunction with Enso Connect.
The Local Area:
Lake Windermere is the largest body of water in England and is one of the lakes which make up the Lake District`s World Heritage Site. This coupled with its association with Beatrix Potter means it is one of the most well known towns in the Lake District. The Snuggle is on a quiet residential street just a few minutes walk from Windermere High Street which is full of shops, cafes and restaurants and only a seven minute drive to the shores of Lake Windermere itself.
Additional Guests:
The property does have a small sofa bed so an additional guest can be accommodated with prior approval, there is a charge of £30 per stay for this option.
Parking and Public Transport:
There is a dedicated car parking space behind the apartments and restricted on-street parking in front of the apartment. Further unrestricted on-street parking can be found on the following roads: College Road, Ellerthwaite Road, Holly Road and Park Road. The closest SLDC car park is Broad Street Car Park which is about a 4 minute walk from The Snuggle. This has free parking between 8pm and 8am and designated `Early Bird Parking` bays where you can park all day for one pound if you arrive before 9am.
It is less than ten minutes walk to Windermere bus station which provides local services and the train station which is at the end of the line from Kendal Station (serviced by the West Coast Main Line).
Check-in and Check-out:
The property is set up to allow remote access with easy self check-in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed.
Please note: Check-in is from 16:00 and Check-out is before 10:00.
We Provide:
We provide a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, oil, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil and greaseproof paper as well as a washing-up pack, oven gloves and tea towels. The consumables should last at least a couple of days. If you do need to top up your supplies there is a Co-op just around the corner where you will be able to do this.
We also provide locally made hair and body wash and hand wash in refillable aluminium bottles from Bath House and some cleaning products in case you need them while you are visiting. The cleaning products can be found under the sink in the kitchen.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Waiver required: £400 refundable bond hold or £40 non-refundable waiver
Extra guests: can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge with prior approval. Please request the use of the sofa bed and linen at the time of booking via your Boarding Pass. An additional charge of £30 per stay applies for this service.
Quiet hours: 11pm to 7am
Please leave the property in a similar state to when you arrived and lock all doors and windows.
