Tucked away just moments from the buzz of Bowness-on-Windermere, Ferry View Cottage is a beautifully renovated, three-storey Lakeland home that brings together traditional charm and modern touches in all the right ways. Whether you`re here with family or a group of friends, this welcoming retreat is the perfect base for exploring the Lakes.
The open-plan living space is designed for laid-back mornings and slow evenings. A fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need, from oven and hob to toaster, microwave and hot tub-safe glassware, while the dining area comfortably seats your whole group. The living area completes the space with an electric fire, TV, and board games for cosy nights in.
Cosy bedrooms - all En-Suite!
There are three thoughtfully designed bedrooms, each with either a king or double bed (double has a couple of steps up) and its own en-suite shower room, giving everyone a little extra privacy and space to relax. Soft bed linen and towels are provided, so you can settle in straight away.
Impressive Outdoor Spaces
Step outside and youâll find a mix of peaceful spots to unwind. The private front patio features a 4-person hot tub and comfortable seating, ideal for enjoying the fresh air in any season. At the back, the enclosed garden room offers another little escape, with a sofa, soft lighting, and a log burner (logs not included, but easy to pick up locally). Itâs the perfect place to curl up with a book or enjoy a quiet moment, whatever the weatherâs doing.

Best of all, Ferry View is just a short stroll from the heart of Bowness, with its independent shops, cafĂ©s, pubs and restaurants, not to mention the shores of Lake Windermere just down the hill. Whether youâre planning days out on the water or evenings tucked up by the fire, Ferry View Cottage offers the perfect mix of location, comfort and Lakeland charm.
Worried about parking? Don`t be. Stop outside the front gate to unload then drive to the rear where there are three designated parking spaces â just keep your eyes peeled for the `Ferry View Studio` Parking Plaque.
And when it comes to checking in, we`ve made it as simple as can be. Just use our key safe for self check-in and let your Lake District adventure begin!

Local Amenities: The cottage is close to local shops, cafes, and restaurants. Bowness-on-Windermere, a bustling town with plenty of attractions and dining options, is also nearby.
Public Transport: If you prefer not to drive, there are regular bus services that can take you to key locations around the Lake District, including Windermere and Ambleside.

For those travelling further, Windermere station is a 10 minute car drive away and Oxenholme Lake District railway station is about 30 minutes away by car.
