Bracken House is a newly renovated, classic Lakeland stone home tucked away in a quiet residential area. Perfectly positioned between Windermere and Bowness, it offers walkable access to the lake, local shops, and the train station. Inside, you'll find a luxurious and stylish interior — the ideal base to enjoy a memorable Lake District stay with family or friends. 

The property also offers the convenience of an additional self-contained one-bedroom apartment, perfect for extra privacy or group stays, which can be booked alongside the main house. The twin room can also be configured as a superking double room.

The house is well located for a car free stay. We are in walking distance of Windermere Station as well as down to the lake in Bowness and the local ferry. There are many walks and hikes, easily accessible directly from the property, including Brantfell with stunning views of Lake Windermere. 

Local buses leave from the bottom of the road to the wider Lakes area.There is also a limited bus service 30m up from the house. 

For those that prefer to travel by car, on street parking is available at no cost.
Local taxis are available should you need them.
