The former Ale House is situated on a charming terrace with easy access to the delights of this beautiful city and has been sympathetically restored to the highest standard to uncover much of its original charm and character. The charming high street offers quaint alleyways and cosy squares draped with independent gift shops and home to a thriving food scene, Rick Stein, The Ivy, Brasserie Blanc and the ’Chesil Rectory’ are some of the names which can be found. A visit to the city would not be complete without a trip to the imposing 11th century cathedral, home to one of the longest medieval naves in Europe. You will not be disappointed.
