Summary:
Wildwoods Organic Farm by Tiny Away! Set beside the beautiful Dryandra Woodland, known for its unique flora and fauna, our farm stay is surrounded by protected forest that has helped us achieve organic certification. The Space:
Wildwoods Organic Farm by Tiny Away is nestled in Williams, Western Australia, just a scenic hour’s drive from the outskirts of Perth. Surrounded by rolling pastures and tranquil woodlands, this charming farm stay offers easy access to hiking and mountain biking trails, and during spring, the landscape comes alive with vibrant wildflowers and flourishing orchards.
Beyond this peaceful tiny house, guests can explore the charming country towns of Williams, Wandering, Boddington, and Narrogin, all within a short drive. This unique 139-square-foot tiny home features a queen-sized bed, air conditioning, a kitchenette, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet and a gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have three tiny homes on the property, Wildwoods Organic Farm 1, Wildwoods Organic Farm 2 and Wildwoods Organic Farm 3, available with 24 hours’ prior notice—offering you more cozy holiday home options to choose from, subject to availability.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and are welcome to explore some areas of the farm. During lambing season, we kindly ask guests not to visit farm animals or other cabins. Vehicle access is limited to the designated cabin access road.
For added convenience, we offer BBQ packs, breakfast baskets, and charcuterie boards–all with 24 hrs prior notice. Each cabin is equipped with a BBQ and fire pit to enhance your stay.
Advisory:
- Please note that all fences are electric.
- We offer bike rental for $25 per person per stay.
- Please note that this is a working organic oat and sheep farm, and guests are welcome to explore the property.
- Farm tours may be available depending on the hosts’ schedule, or guests can contact the hosts for guidance on a self-guided tour during busy farming periods.
The Neighborhood:
Wildwoods Organic Farm by Tiny Away sits between the small towns of Wandering, Boddington, and Williams in Western Australia, about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Perth's CBD. This farm stay borders Dryandra Woodland, home to the numbat, Western Australia's animal emblem, along with woylies, chuditch, echidnas, and over 100 bird species.
The area draws wildlife lovers and outdoor explorers with mountain bike trails, hiking tracks, bush walks, wildflowers, orchids, and quiet birdwatching spots. Nearby, the Barna Mia Animal Sanctuary offers a nocturnal wildlife experience to spot rare marsupials up close (advance bookings required; open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with reduced summer schedules).
The surrounding towns add their own charm, from the Williams Woolshed Café and Dejaxo Bakery to the Wandering Tavern and the historic Quindanning Hotel.
Groceries and supplies are available in Williams, Boddington (IGA), and Narrogin (Coles), and the wider region hosts seasonal festivals and cultural events throughout the year.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1hr 10min from Armadale Perth reachable by both 2wd and 4wd.
By public transport:
- A bus service runs from Perth to Williams and we can pick up guests for a small fee of $50. No public transport or taxi service available from Williams or any other town to the property.
Other Things to Note:
- No WiFi
- Gas BBQ is available
- Child-friendly Accommodation
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Potable water is available from filtered rainwater
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra, while others have no signal at all
- No smoking inside the tiny house, except outdoors during the winter only
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Animal Safety:
- Guests may see chickens, dogs, cats, horses, and sheep on the property, and visits with these animals are always supervised
- Guests should not enter the horse paddock or feed any animals, since the cabins share a fenceline with horses and farm animals can pose a risk to those unfamiliar with them
- All fences on the property are electric, and yellow warning signs are posted, but guests should stay alert to this at all times
- Outside of lambing season, the host can offer instructions for guests to walk around the sheep paddocks on their own, though this remains subject to the host's guidance for everyone's safety
Important note:
- No campfires or smoking between October and April
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.
