Terrible stay with not much help from the host
This property is advertised as newly remodeled. However, the unit is far from new. Chipping paint all over the unit, inside and out. Front doors that are missing a seal. Yellow-stained sink and gross shampoo that looks like it's growing mold in the shower container. The bed had a flat sheet instead of the fitted sheet that got rolled up within the first 5 minutes in the bed. The first night, we had to sleep in the cold, when the outside was 25F. I notified the host within 1 hour of arrival that the heater was not working. 5 and a half hours later, still no one came to even look at it. The next day still no action until I contacted VRBO support in the afternoon. The housekeeper came, handed me pliers, and pointed at the heater. Since the housekeeping team does not speak English, I had to contact the host again, letting her know that this is not safe for me to try to stick the pliers in the heater. I wasn't even sure what I was supposed to do with the heater and the pliers. The housekeeper came back and turned on the heater so high that the second night, we had to sleep with the windows open, it was so hot. There was no way to turn the heater off. The host never responded to my complaint and is now avoiding me. Horrible place with an unresponsive host. Would not stay here again.
