Escape to this stunning off-grid island cottage on Wahwashkesh Lake, offering the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Accessible only by boat, the cottage is a 5-7 minute ride from the public launch, with three marinas conveniently located on the lake. Completely self-sufficient, the property runs on solar power with a backup generator, ensuring reliable energy throughout your stay. Despite its remote location, you’ll enjoy unlimited Starlink WiFi, keeping you connected when needed.

The spacious cottage features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 12 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and two fridge/freezers, making it easy to prepare and store meals for larger groups. After a day on the lake, relax in the cozy TV room with a Smart TV, perfect for streaming your favorite shows or movies.

Step outside to enjoy the pristine waters of Wahwashkesh Lake. The clean, clear water and sandy beach make for excellent swimming, while the dock, with water approximately 7 feet deep, is perfect for jumping in. The dock can accommodate boats up to 24 feet long, making it ideal for guests arriving with their own watercraft or renting one locally. A paddleboard and 2 kayaks are available, along with a selection of PFD’s.

Outdoor living is just as enjoyable, with a BBQ for grilling and a fire pit for evening campfires. An ample supply of firewood is provided, so you can gather around the fire with family and friends, sharing stories and roasting marshmallows under the stars.

Whether you’re spending your days boating, swimming, or simply unwinding on the dock, this off-grid island retreat offers a perfect escape into nature without sacrificing modern comforts. With its peaceful setting, convenient amenities, and scenic surroundings, it’s the ideal destination for families and groups seeking a memorable lakeside getaway.

Accessibility

Cottage has relatively easy entry and exit with few, if any stairs and railing(s) where needed. At least one main floor bedroom and bathroom, At least one bathroom with walk in shower

Waterfront

The cottage boasts 350 feet of private waterfront, featuring a sandy beach with a gentle slope into deeper water—perfect for wading and swimming. Off the dock, the water reaches a depth of approximately 7 feet and includes a ladder for easy access. While ideal for jumping in, it is too shallow for diving right off the dock, but the lake depth reaches 140’ further out.

You’ll enjoy full sun along the waterfront from sunrise until 5 PM, making it a prime spot for relaxing and soaking up the rays. The water is exceptionally clean and clear, offering excellent swimming conditions with minimal to no weeds.

Boating

The dock can accommodate boats up to 24’ long, with tie downs on both sides and bumpers built into the dock.
