River Haven with Hot Tub | 4 Bed, 3.5 Bath

Overview

This 7000+ sq foot home is nestled in along the beautiful Susquehanna River in rural Harford County MD, and offers lovely views and a relaxing ambience. You'll love the expansive decks, and the hot tub on the lower level patio that provide lots of relaxation options. Sleeps 20. (Sleeps 16 without the two new bedrooms in the basement, which are rented separately. The rooms in the basement are $35 a night per room. This is not figured into the total. Please reach out to us and we will try and accommodate your needs.)

River Haven is sparkling clean and flooded with natural light from all the windows. The fully equipped kitchen is designed to meet all your cooking needs. There is a king-sized bed in the master suite, two bedrooms with queen beds, plus one more large bedroom with a queen bed, two sets of twin over full bunks with twin trundles, and plenty of floor space for your air mattresses. The property features a total of three and a half bathrooms, a laundry room, a dining room, and a deck with an outdoor living space. We offer an expansive playset for your children. The basement offers air hockey, corn hole, ping-pong, and a brand new five-person hot tub with all the bells and whistles out on the stone patio. Bring your friend group or whole family and enjoy the views and ambience of a vacation rental done right. At the end of the street, there is a launching dock for kayaks. (No kayaks are provided.)

River Haven now features a whole-house backup generator, eliminating concerns about power outages.

Two new bedrooms and a full bath in the basement.

A new pickleball court is expected to open in late spring 2025.

There are exterior cameras on the premises; however, they are never accessed unless documentation is required.

If your check-out date falls on a Sunday, we offer free 6:00 PM Sunday checkout. It's our way of saying thank you.

Please note that if your trip is scheduled for winter, a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Two-wheel drives will be just fine unless the road is covered in snow.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- We kindly ask that there be no fireworks, loud music, or rowdy behavior.

- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

- Please be aware that you will be charged 10% of the total trip amount at booking, and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file thirty days prior to check-in.

- A $350 Damage Waiver Fee will be charged at checkout. If no damage is reported after cleaning, the refund will be processed to the card on file.

Great place to go hiking near River Haven

Rocks State Park in Jarrettsville offers rocky terrain and beautiful views. Don't miss the White Trail and the King and Queen Seat Trail.

Susquehanna State Park, a short drive south, has trails along the river. Check out the Turkey Point Lighthouse Trail for great views.

Harford County's Ma & Pa Trail is a scenic rail-trail with different sections suitable for various skill levels.

Gunpowder Falls State Park has numerous hiking trails along the Gunpowder River.

Perfect for large group

We had a group of 18 moms and daughters, and this place was perfection. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen was well-stocked, the basement was filled with games/activities for the kids, and the view was incredible. The house was clean and tidy, and the host was clear and accurate with descriptions/information. Although we didn’t use the two basement bedrooms, the option to have more rooms with privacy would have been wonderful if needed.The kids spent a majority of the time outside on the playset which was great for kids under 10, and we spent the evenings on the large deck soaking in the stunning view of the river. The property was very private and absolutely perfect for our fun weekend away.

This was by far the best Property we have ever stayed at. We were in town for a cheer competition with 6 moms and 7 daughters. The upstairs room had beds for every girl plus some! The house was extremely clean and the host literally though about EVERYTHING. From local menus, to games for all ages and even to-go containers in the kitchen! (which we always forget!) It was so comfortable and enjoyable, no one wanted to leave!

Girls trip

We had a very mini college reunion of sorts for a weekend and loved every minute of staying in this beautiful home. There was plenty of space for 10 of us and it never felt cramped or stuffy. We also loved the deck and getting to enjoy the view all weekend. We had no complaints and would love to return.

Stunning River Front Home

This property was absolutely wonderful! It is a beautiful river front home with breathtaking views. It is a very well maintained property and included all the essentials you could need. The house accommodated our family of 12 comfortably. We were traveling with children and the expansive grounds and playground were a huge hit. Communication with the property manager was easy. This property was amazing. We had a large family get together that included multiple adults and children of various ages, and the space was absolutely perfect. It would be almost impossible to beat the view from the back porch of the river. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our time together in this house.

Beautiful home - great for large groups!

We loved this property, the views, and the privacy. We very comfortably fit a group of 12, but could have easily fit more. My only complaint is communication with guests could be improved. The owner does not specifically provide any instructions on how to operate the hot tub in advance, even though this could easily be put in the welcome email or on-property binder. After many attempts to reach the owner, it took until our last day for the hot tub to be operational, as maintenance was sent hours before we left. Like many, I always filter on properties with hot tubs, so this was disappointing.

A spacious house in a quiet spot with a great view

Wonderful House

Beautiful home, Very Clean

My husband and I rented the home for us, our adult children and our grandchildren for an out of town wedding. It's a beautiful, newish home with a perfect layout for several families vacationing together. All the bedrooms are not in one place with everyone on top of each other; the house layout creates privacy for different families and several gathering spaces. The kitchen is large and well stocked and the bathrooms have plenty of clean white towels. The only thing we were not aware of, and we should have realized, is the house sits way back off the main road. It's a beautiful location on the river but the access road is a long gravel driveway. It's scenic and private, we just wouldn't have taken the Maserati, lol! SUV is best! But we loved our stay and we would like to go back when we have more time to explore the area. There's a lot of hiking and fun River activities available very close by (fishing and rafting). Hint to Owner: It would be awesome if a path were cleared to be able to access the river from the property!!

Relaxing getaway

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home on the river for a long weekend. The house was large and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom towels were that of a 5 star hotel. The views of the river were breath taking. The furniture all new, and comfortable, made for a nice relaxing weekend. And our favorite- the awesome hot tub! We truly enjoyed this stay.
