This cozy and charming Montana cabin will give you everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Nestled in Lion Mountain, you will find peaceful surroundings and lots of space to accommodate everyone. With amenities on every floor, this 2 story cabin has everything you need and more for a worry-free stay. Don’t worry about getting cold because this home has heated floors in every bathroom, a gas fireplace in the living room, forced heat in every room, and a private hot tub on the front deck! With a total of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1850 square feet, every guest will have space of their own to enjoy themselves. This home also offers a 2 car garage. Staying with us in the winter? No need to worry about shoveling snow off your car when headed out to drive. Hidden Moose cabin is a short 15-minute drive to downtown Whitefish where you can find amazing dining, unique bars and distilleries as well as excellent shopping options. It's also within walking distance of our 36 hole golf course, downtown, the Whitefish River Trails, and Whitefish Lake State Park.



Staying at this home during the winter will transport you to a winter wonderland. Whitefish Mountain Resort is only 20 minutes away. Enjoy the best skiing in Montana on over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain. You can picture yourself relaxing in the hot tub on the deck while watching the snowfall or cozying up near the fireplace inside. During the summer, it is a great place to watch wildlife from the windows while you relax on the couch as well as explore the surrounding areas. With Whitefish Lake, City Beach, Glacier National Park so close by you'll never get bored.



When you walk into this cabin, you instantly feel the true meaning of a mountain getaway. The entry has a mudroom that allows you to comfortably remove your shoes and wipe away any dirt from a long day of exploring. From there you can make your way into the spacious living room and kitchen. The kitchen has a dining room and has a raised table big enough for 6-8 guests to have a seat. The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The open living room includes a large L-shaped couch with a stone gas fireplace. The staircase leads up to the loft (but we're getting ahead of ourselves). Head down the hallway and you'll find the first full bathroom with heated floors and a walk-in shower. Every bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and even a hairdryer!



There are three bedrooms down the hall. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed with an ensuite bathroom which includes heated floors and a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom also has a queen-sized bed.



After heading back down the hallway, through the living room, and up the stairs you will find the loft. The loft has a second living area, TV, games, and a couch for relaxing with the family. Also, at the back of this long loft room, there are two twin beds. The kids will have a blast up here! It also features 2 skylight windows which allow end-of-the-day light in to give the room a golden hour glow.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 8 guests. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay. No parties. No smoking or pets are allowed on the property.



*IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. Tickets must be purchased to travel on Going-To-The-Sun Road from May through September.

Great cabin in a great location

The cabin was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay very much. Great communication from the host, I was impressed by the timeliness of their response when I had a quick question about the property. The location was convenient - very close to downtown Whitefish but in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Great getaway in whitefish. Not far from downtown but still tucked away in the trees. Enjoyed the hot tub and the cozy cabin. The kitchen had all essentials you’d need, including spices and coffee
I’m sure that changes depending but it was a nice bonus. Would love to stay again next time!

This was an exceptionally well appointed cabin. We appreciate the high appliances and furnishings The space Felt very uncluttered and the design is purposeful. Even when we had a minor glitch with the fireplace, the group was extremely attentive, and accommodating. Lots of linens and comfortable beds. You can tell this is a professionally run facility.

Montana Getaway

Our daughter chose the beautiful Montana mountains to celebrate her 21st birthday. The Hidden Moose was greatly enjoyed by all... our three adult children and two grandbabies. We are already planning our return trip! The cabin was clean and cozy and we enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking!

Nice place, just needs a few things done

overall the place was clean and got the job done. There are a few things that need attention to: bathroom doors do not close, bathroom sink and kitchen sink are leaking (which is known as there are containers under sink to catch water), screen door to deck is stuck open, and the hot tub was full of chemical and few people had skin reactions to it after. If these recommendations were attended too, the rating would have been a 5

Hidden Moose cabin was perfect for our family of 5 for our annual ski trip. It is close to town and not too far from the mountain. The layout is great and the house was super clean. The management was extremely responsive to all of our questions. Thank you!

Great experience with property, had one issue with the bedding that was taken care of immediately. Even had fresh cut sunflowers of table for our arrival. Thanks for a relaxing vacation in your cabin. Will definitely recommend!

Perfect location! Beware a few creature comforts

My husband, mother-in-law and I had a wonderful time in Montana staying at this location. It was very close to town, hikes and the lake. We enjoyed kayaking at the lake nearby (that's a short walk away!) Beware, there's no AC which surprised us as Texans where AC is definitely the default. And the company that manages this property only provides a 'starter pack' of paper towels, TP etc. We were left with only a partial roll, which the company did come bring us more when we asked. I personally find these types of policies very annoying & I don't think it was in the description so thought I'd call it out.

I can’t give this property a 5 rating because it was advertised as having AC and it does not have AC as told by the property manager once we shared all the pics and facts we had. The cabin is probably perfect in Winter but it needs a cooling off in Summer and you can’t cool this place down. Good news is in the back bedrooms there is some natural coolness at night that is tolerable but in the loft and living room, it’s warm all day/night and after a day out in the sun, that cooling off is a huge plus and what we look for. They did a great job of furnishing. Some dusting/airing out needed in Loft but very pleasantly appointed. For tall people watch out for low ceilings and door ways! Hot tub is a huge plus and you may spot a deer lounging in the side yard shade.

Cute cabin close to town

This cabin is super cute and feels remote, but you are just on the edge of town, so a really great location. The kitchen came equipped with everything we needed and there was a BBQ for grilling on the patio. We do believe we had a mouse in the kitchen that ate through any bag with food we left out, so I would suggest keeping things in the fridge. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor and all the beds were comfy. Note that one of the rooms has the tankless water heater in it, so if anyone is up turning on the water at night it is quite loud in the 3rd bedroom. The main room was beautiful with a great chandelier and TV for those that need it. Then upstairs there were 2 twin beds and another TV and some games. We spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the beautiful surroundings or playing cards. Most mornings there were deer in the yard eating - so great to see. The patio had a hot tub and they provided plenty of towels for the hot tub. There was nice patio furniture outside by the hot tub for lounging as well as a picnic type table for dinners. We do recommend 2 benches for the picnic table though. One fell apart when we sat on it and the other was a tiny bench for 2. All in all, we enjoyed the place and the location, just a few things that probably need to be fixed. This place made us feel like we were in Montana. There is also a beautiful trail 1 mile up the road for hiking or running. I only wish I found it sooner.

Nice location hot tub was awesome.

Really enjoyed the hot tub. Beds upstairs are good for kids, but not super comfy. The downstairs master is really nice food bed and big shower.

The only complaint I have is the downstairs couch/pillows/throw blanket. It could use a dusting/cleaning. As soon as we sat down, we could all tell there was a serious dust issue. Other than that, we loved our stay and would recommend it.

Great house!
