A must is a climb up the 199 steps to the famous abbey, or a windswept clifftop walk along the Cleveland Way. Take a trip on the heritage steam train as it winds its way over the heather laced moorland from Whitby to the market town of Pickering. Visit ancient woodland such as Falling Foss or Dalby Forest.
