Enjoy the combination of period character with up-to-date amenities in this pretty cottage, which is set over three storeys. The lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor is a real home-from-home, ideal for a socialising. Gather around its wood burner-effect gas fire and chill out in front of the TV and DVD player. The kitchen is a delightful space with sleek cabinets and built-in appliances, connected to the dining area with an island. For after-dinner games or a quiet place to sit and read or watch TV, there’s also a snug, which has a sofa and bean bag, TV, Wii and selection of DVDs, books and board games. On the first floor you’ll find a king-size and a twin bedroom, both with ample storage, as well as a family bathroom and a separate WC. And on the top floor, reached via cottage-style stairs, the second king-size bedroom is tucked under steeply sloping ceilings and has sea views. Your private garden, set over various levels, offers a swing seat in which to relax as well as an outdoor dining set and BBQ for al fresco drinks and meals.


The steeply sloping, cobbled streets of Robin Hood’s Bay are always enticing, and here you can indulge yourselves in exploring the boutiques and places to eat, go rock pooling or fossil hunting on the dog-friendly beach, or stride out on some beautiful walks. See if you can spot seals at Ravenscar, 4 miles on foot via the Cleveland Way, or head to the famous Falling Foss waterfall, 5 miles.
