Nestled in the heart of Wewahitchka, Florida, our property offers a front-row seat to the breathtaking beauty of the Dead Lakes. This region is famous for its hauntingly beautiful landscape of ancient cypress skeletons and moss-draped trees, creating a serene and "Old Florida" atmosphere that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle.
A Nature Lover’s Paradise
The park is perfectly positioned for those who love the water. We provide direct access to the Apalachicola River and the Dead Lakes, which are world-renowned for their unique ecosystem and premier bass and shellcracker fishing. Whether you are navigating the winding waterways by kayak or launching a boat for a day on the river, the natural scenery is unmatched.
The Best of Both Worlds
While you'll enjoy the peace of a rural, woodland setting, you are never far from local culture and coastal adventures:
Wewahitchka (5 mins): Home to the world-famous Tupelo Honey. Be sure to visit local honey stands or grab a bite at favorites like Point Break Pizza, The Hitch, or El Jalisco.
The Gulf Coast (25–30 mins): If you’re craving salt air, the white sand beaches of Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe are just a short, scenic drive away.
Wildlife & Surroundings
The area is a sanctuary for local wildlife. It is common to spot deer, owls, turtles, and the occasional alligator as you explore the park or the nearby hiking trails. At night, the lack of city lights makes for incredible stargazing over the water, accompanied by the peaceful sounds of the surrounding cypress swamp.
