Escape with your loved one to this Grade II listed cottage. This beautiful bolthole welcomes couples to explore the wonders of the cathedral city of Wells, Englandâs smallest city. The city is easily negotiable on foot and offers a great range of independent boutiques, delicatessens, cafes, pubs, restaurants and twice weekly markets, alongside the magnificent cathedral and Bishops Palace. Venture outside of the city and explore Glastonbury (5.8 miles) renowned for its Tor and Abbey Ruins, Bruton (12 miles) offering an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants and The Newt in Somerset (14.5 miles). Explore the spectacular caves of Wookey Hole (2 miles) or the breathtaking scenery of Cheddar Gorge (10 miles). Other places of interest include the historic city of Bath (20 miles) and discount shopping at Clarks Village (7.5 miles). There is also a good selection of National Trust properties to visit within an hour's drive. On the North side of the city, you will find the Mendip Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, criss-crossed by numerous footpaths, including the West Mendip Way and the Monarch's Way.
Head through the front door and through to a cosy hallway, into the open-plan sitting room/kitchen/diner, a wonderfully relaxing space. Settle in for a snug evening with a film on the Smart TV in front of the warming wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace. A stylish fully equipped kitchen has everything you may need during your stay. Head up the cottage-style stairs to a spacious landing which leads to a delightful king-size bedroom. Completing the accommodation is a shower room with a large rainfall shower and WC.
The cottage has a small private outdoor space at the rear, adjoined by tranquil neighbouring gardens. With everything this charming city has to offer, and whatever your interests, there is plenty to explore.
