Nestled in the pines of Wellfleet and close to the town center, you'll find this eclectic, Bohemian retreat. Located adjacent to the historic Chequessett Burial Ground and First Meeting House of 1723, this coastal home delights with its park-like setting. After a day at nearby Mayo Beach (and grab the beach umbrella and cooler bag to go to the beach with you), you can rinse off in the outdoor shower. A second living area complete with a bedroom, bathroom, and patio offers privacy. Entertaining in this well-equipped kitchen and a JBL portable speaker is a treat. End the evening on the spacious deck while gazing at the stars. The Baker Field Recreation Area with a playground, recreational courts, and picnic tables is a great nearby option for families.

Two bedrooms on the main floor feature a queen bed in each. A third bedroom which has a king bed and a bathroom are located on the ground walk out level.

The house is in a great location, minutes to downtown Wellfleet, and a very quiet neighborhood.The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of blankets and towels.There are coolers, beach bag and small beach chairs.The decor is quintessential Cape Cod. The house is homey and perfect for our group of 4 adults. The outdoor shower is wonderful and has a separate dressing area.The oven didn't work and there wasn't a lot of cookware.Overall it was a lovely home and I would stay there again

A lovely haven in the woods

We loved our time at Tall Pines. The house was clean and welcoming and the location was fantastic! We were able to walk into town and avoid dealing with parking nightmares. Beds were extremely comfortable! Will definitely try to stay here again!

I would have given it 5 stars but when arrived house had not been cleaned. We contacted VACAS and they sent someone over to clean it right away. Once cleaned we were very happy with house- it was large, spacious close to everything

A VERY MIXED BAG!

I love the house itself and the location was perfect. I would love to rent it again but I will not because the communication was absolutely unacceptable. I am sure I was texting with a robot. Fist I needed to know what beds were in the home prior to arrival. Pictures did not match description or a review I read. Beds we more than adequate, but I did not know that until I arrived because I went in circle with AI and never got my questions answered. Sheets were scratchy. I rented the home for the AC and location. The AC was broken for the first 7 of my 10 day stay during a heatwave. No responded to my call I went in circles over text. Finally I got a text saying someone was coming to fix it and they did. So I had AC for last 3 days. The stove was an induction stove - there were no instructions on how to use it. Induction stoves require special, compatible pots, which were not provided. I made inquiries about this but - more circles with AI over text and no help. Also the kitchen was very poorly stocked. Visitors need a "proof of stay" to buy a beach sticker . This was not provided. I asked for one - did not get it. I was able to get my beach sticker because I am a former Wellfleet year round resident and the office staff made an exception for me. I don't know how other guests were able to get a beach sticker...?! Sometimes the digital lock didn't work and I would stand outside putting the code in multiple times before I could enter the home - this happened frequently.

Very dissatisfied

The property was listed as a 3 bedroom. It had 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch in the basement. The smell in the basement was strong and the pullout was horrible. We might have just suffered through but the basement bathroom had spiders and the house was infested with black ants. We had a terrible time trying to get a customer service representative to help. We ended up leaving after one night and forfeiting money.

Deceiving listing!

This property was listed as a three bedroom. However, the third bedroom was really a pull out couch in a moldy basement. There were spiders in the bathtub, and the upstairs was infested with ants. The keypad on the front door was not functioning, which was very inconvenient. We were so disappointed in the property that we only stayed one of our planned three nights.

House great, customer service nonexistent

Clean, fresh house with large, new deck and perfect outdoor shower. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. Excellent location halfway between Wellfleet village and bay beaches. Only one thing didn't go right. One day, suddenly hundreds/thousands of ants crawled out of the dining room wall. They walked around the dining room for a bit, then completely disappeared back into the wall. OK, it happens, it's the beach. So I called the given number for local house manager. Got voicemail of a friendly-sounding "Tracy from Vacasa," so I know it was the right number. Left about 4-5 messages total over two days. Nobody called back. Called the main Vacasa number again and was given another local number to call. Called it -- it was a wrong number. I was hoping to get an exterminator or some other solution because at that point, at the beginning of the week, we had no idea if the swarm of ants would return. They never did, so we were lucky. Bottom line, not the fault of the homeowner. House was spotless. But homeowner should be advised that their house management company was unresponsive.
