No complaints here! The hotel was in a cool old building in the heart of Washington, with easy access to the Metro and a short walk from the National Mall. The room was comfortable and clean.
Key cards to the room constantly stopped working, and doors and toilet and ac seemed old and unreliable along side with the fact there was bed bugs in the room
The fan in the bathroom was connected to the light and was so incredibly loud - it was super disturbing whenever you had to use the bathroom, including while getting ready. The shower is an overhead showerhead which if you donât want to get your hair wet is a disaster. Thereâs no avoiding it. Also, the toilet clogged without using much TP. The heater in the room blows on and off every minute or so which is hard to sleep with but required in the middle of winter. Also, the ice machine is in the basement and the operator option on the phone didnât work so we had to go down to the lobby anytime we had a question. There is hardly anything to eat in the area which is a bit inconvenient.
Not a bad space, just not ideal for me.
The room was clean and very cute! Everything about the hotel had a very comfortable, warm feeling. The staff was extremely attentive and caring. Had a wonderful short stay!
I would rate my stay a 3.5. First, the cost to stay in downtown DC was unbeatable. The staff was wonderful, the hotel and especially the room was CLEAN - like I was very happy with the cleanliness, the rooms were a good size, and there was always coffee, tea, and water in the lobby. The hotel is a historic building, so it's both old and cool. One must know that this is not a modern hotel. My concerns with with my hot water and the noise from the window unit. I would still recommend this hotel and hopefully, someone wouldn't expect high-end amenities at a lower price point.
