A cozy, newly renovated one-bedroom, one-bathroom English basement apartment awaits your arrival. Wake up to warm towels, and enjoy complimentary Keurig coffee in a cozy reading nook before exploring the best of Washington, D.C.

The metro is a short walk away (4 blocks): a direct line in 9 mins to the Mall and 23 mins to National Airport. Columbia Heights has a vibrant dining scene with lots of unique cafes and restaurants very nearby, many of which offer lots of outdoor seating (even in colder weather).

The space: The apartment has a separate entrance at the back of the house with self check-in, accessed at the back of the house. The entrance is well lit with cute garden lights. The property is accessed by a fully secure door and offers free off-street parking for one mid-sized car.

There is a new queen bed, with brand new luxury mattress. You will sleep very soundly! Adjacent is a living area with a small couch, 55" TV with Roku (sign in to access your favorite shows), and some local books and maps on D.C. to use during your stay. Local art decorates the space.

The separate kitchenette is equipped with a sink, microwave, grill/toaster/air fryer machine, Keurig coffee maker and a french press with plenty of coffee provided, tea, milk frother, fridge and small freezer. The dining table seats 3.

A small reading nook offers some peace and solace after a busy day exploring. And a small work/study desk is available adjacent to this area for those wanting to work during their stay. The property has high-speed internet.

A newly renovated bathroom with large, luxury shower and heated towel warmer will help you feel refreshed and ready for the next day.
There is a large patio outside that is available to you, with comfortable seating and lots of plants. You may also use the gas grill if you wish - please clean it well upon departure.

Because this is an English basement and we live above, you may hear some movement upstairs if we happen to be home.

We can offer free off-street parking for one car, just let us know that you’d like to make use of it upon booking (but the spot is guaranteed upon hitting book!). Street parking is also free from 6.30pm Friday - Monday 9am. Paid, secure parking is only 3 blocks away (Giant & Target).

Other things to note
For young families, we have a toys/books available on request. The reading nook is suitable for a young child to sleep.
We don’t charge extra for little kids!
