Welcome to On Top of Maxwell. Upon entering the home you will be drawn to relax on the living room couch. The chef in you will be inspired by the fully equipped kitchen, and you can enjoy your meal at the dinning room table. Don't want to cook? No problem- you are going to be staying near some of DC's best restaurants within walking distance. Each bedroom has a queen bed and lots of storage space to unpack and stay awhile. Two full size bathrooms, one in the hallway, and one en suite to the primary bedroom.

The Space:
This is the perfect space for your DC stay. Located right across the street from the DC Convention Center, yellow/green line metro stop, and literally, right on top of Maxwell, one of DC's most popular restaurants'. Guests have the run of the second floor apartment. It is fit for four people, with two comfy thick queen sized mattresses. The space offers full bathroom, full kitchen with a coffee maker and microwave. There is a Smart TV in the living space, so guests can stream from their personal accounts and never miss an episode! The apartment is professionally cleaned before each stay.
Nestled between Shaw and Logan Circle, On Top of Maxwell sits just steps from the historic Naylor Court and Blagden Alley.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire second level unit. It is not shared.

The Neighborhood:
Guests will undoubtedly find themselves nestled in one of the most historic, and sought after neighborhoods in the city! The home is located right on O Street and 9th Street, right across the street from the DC convention center.  The area offers a diverse selection of entertainment, dining options, shopping, coffee shops and grocery stores. Whole Foods is a 10 min walk and Trader Joe`s is 15 minutes on foot. The 14th St. dining scene really has become the culinary center for the city with all kinds of diverse cuisines ranging from chic and trendy to the hole-in-wall hidden treasures, French, Asian, Spanish, to Oyster Bars, Diners and much more. You`ll want to take advantage of some of our favorite local recommendations.

This downtown neighborhood is in the thick of all the action; walking distance to all the new and hottest DC restaurants and bars and literally "On Top of Maxwell". Gourmet supermarkets, world class restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, yoga studios, and everything else you need to practically enjoy your stay are all a few blocks away.

Getting Around:
You could not ask for better access!! The apartment is a 14 min drive from National Airport and a 8 min drive from Union Station (Amtrak, and the hub of the major sights). The apartment is 1 block away from the Mt. Vernon (Green/Yellow Line) Metro and about a 14 min walk to the Gallery Place (Red Line). 39/45 minute drive to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Planes, trains and automobiles, it is also a short Uber ride anywhere in the city.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that the apartment is located on the second level of a condo building. We ask you to please be mindful that there is a full time tenant upstairs, and you may see them using the staircase from time to time. You may also hear some everyday noises from the upstairs, but they will be mindful of you staying in the unit below, and we ask you please do the same.
