Overall, the home had several nice features. The beds were mostly comfortable, and the dog beds and bowls were a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and utensils for our group. There were ample towels, including some specifically for the hot tub. Garage parking was convenient, and checkout at 10am was simple - we just had to load and start the dishwasher.That said, the property is managed by Vacasa of North Carolina, and communication was very slow. Most responses redirected us to the Vacasa app instead of answering questions directly.There is no early arrival, so donât bother asking. Late checkout is available only by purchasing it through the app, but the fee isnât shown upfront. You must click âpurchaseâ without knowing the price. I asked about the cost and never received a response.Maintenance issues: master bathroom sink stoppers are broken; the master shower is dirty (possibly moldy) along the left door seam; back porch lights are burnt out; and the fan in the far-right bedroom is loose, with blades that scrape when running.The door code was a full phone number that didnât belong to anyone in our group, so we had to look it up on our phones each time. Using my phone number would make more sense, and still have the same security level.Located in a private gated community about halfway between two gates; expect a 10-minute drive to either entrance.
