Family vacation

The condo was an excellent spot to accommodate our family. The tennis/basketball court & putt putt golf across the street was perfect for the kids and walking distance to the pool/club house which has the nicest & attentive staff. Great view of the ocean with golf course from the lanai’s. 5G was great! Thank you Hali’i Kai!

Lovely condo

We really enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of this unit. Lovely views off both decks. We were disappointed that there weren't any beach chairs or beach towels in the unit. This would have been nice! Sadly, the people working at the pool club were super grumpy with our kids- who were well-behaved. All-in-all, a beautiful spot.

We loved the Hali Kai as always. Unit clean with everything you need. Only complaint is no air conditioning as it was broken upon arrival and was never fixed despite a promise to do so ASAP.

Hali’i Kai Property

Great location. 30 min drive from airport. Close to shops for anything you need, you’re next door to the Hilton. Lots of food options close by, a short walk to the complex pool and restaurant which had amazing sunsets. I would recommend this property. Good value as well. The cons, thanks to a previous review we brought air mattresses for the kids. The condo could sleep 3 couples comfortably. The couch doesn’t turn in to a bed. The AC worked great in master but not good in the other two rooms, the rooms got very warm.

Beautiful property - 5G

Pictures provided were accurate. A few minor things that we took note of while we were there. It is not handicap accessible. Stairs going up to the unit and leading to the upstairs bedrooms. It is not oceanfront, but rather ocean"view". We could see a sliver of the ocean from our lanai. We enjoyed sitting there in the morning and planning our day. 6 adults and one teenager in our group. Master upstairs has a King, 2nd bedroom upstairs has a queen and the 3rd bedroom downstairs has a queen. My grandson slept on the couch (does not pull out). It would be difficult to sleep 8 adults. An air mattress would fit in the living room, but we did not see one in the unit. We were fine as we were, but if you needed that extra space there was none. No extra bedding. We found an extra pillow (3 total) and only one blanket for my grandson to use. The kitchen was pretty much equipped with what we needed but lacked basic spices like salt and pepper. There were only 3-4 trash bags laying under the kitchen sink for the whole week. There were exactly 8 bath towels, so we were washing towels often to keep up on that. Not something you want to do on vacation. We believed there was no hot water in the master shower. It turned out that what was hot was cold and what was cold was hot. After calling maintenance to look at that and to take care of a burned out light bulb in the master closet, we had him look at the shower head in the 2nd bath upstairs that was barely trickling. After he switched it out the difference was night & day! He didn't leave until we were able to confirm that it was in good working order. It took about 5-10 minutes to walk to the pool from our unit, but there is parking if you want to drive down. We only used the pool very briefly one day then realized we would rather be at the beach. But if the pool is all you want, it was very nice and had great views of the ocean. I did reach out beforehand and asked if there were beach towels in the unit. I was told there are towels at the pool, but you are unable to take them outside the pool. We ended up buying beach towels and beach items as there were none in the unit. If you plan to have any beach days at all, be advised there is nothing there to use/take to the beach. Beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs would have been ideal. No board games, playing cards etc. that would be great for in the evenings if you wanted to have a family game night.
