We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely home. It was very well equipped, including a water filter which was greatly appreciated. The open floor plan made it feel spacious and there is a large, covered deck with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped with nice appliances and cookware. The bathroom and bedroom are small, but comfortable and the AC worked well. It’s ideal for 2 people. The washer and dryer are in the basement but are only accessible from the outside of the house. It’s not obvious in the description and not really a big issue, but something to be aware of. The house was very clean, but you are asked to launder the towels the night before you leave. It’s an unusual request, but understandable since it would take the cleaning service longer. We did think that the couches were a bit uncomfortable and may need an upgrade as they are very soft. It is located about a mile from town, so it was very walkable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Great spot!

Adorable 1 bdrm house, kitchen is so well appointed, and deck is the best! Exactly 1 mile walk to town, loved our stay. Hosts are extremely responsive and kind when we had Questions. Highly recommend.

An Adorable House With Everything you Ever Needed

This is an adorable house nestled in a very quiet neighborhood with a short walk into town. Sitting on the porch was the perfect spot to enjoy the sounds of nature while eating our meals, meditating or doing yoga. Kathleen quickly attended to our needs and responded to our questions we had though-out our stay. The kitchen had quality pots and pans with cooking and eating utensils. The dishwasher, washer and drier were in great working condition. There were plenty of linens and towels, We highly recommend renting this house.

MV Stay

Nice place for quiet getaway. It was just me so this was all I needed. Loved the porch. And the wild turkey families are fun to watch. Short bike ride to a small town beach good for a quick dip. Other beaches are a drive or longish bike ride. Appreciated the beach gear provided. Thanks Kathleen!!!

My Stay in Vineyard Haven

This property has been beautifully remodeled, is very clean, and has every amenity you need while on vacation in MV. The property owners are very responsive if you have questions and has set up a smooth check-in and out process.

Fantastic Getaway!

We had a great time at this newly renovated home on MV. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Very tidy and lovely home equipped with everything you need, even AC. A comfortable bed, a small but nice bathroom and a big kitchen with all the amenities. The neighborhood is very conveniently located about 1 mile from the center of Vineyard Haven. We didn't want to leave!

Wonderful visit!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s home! It is incredibly clean and well stocked with everything you’d need. My husband and our toddler twins were very comfortable and Kathy was very communicative. There is a great, small beach down the street off Owen Little Way and I’d highly recommend the short drive to Lake Tashmoo beach, but be aware that it is a bumpy dirt road, well worth it though!

Perfect for a couple or small family!

The property was everything it was advertised to be. The home is located on a quiet street in Tisbury (Vineyard Haven) that makes it ideal for unwinding after a long day's worth of activities. We even had Turkey and other wildlife stroll through occasionally. Kathleen does an amazing job of providing every amenity you could reasonably ask for, right down to laundry detergent! The house is perfectly sized for a couple or smaller family and feels very "homey" and inviting. Kathleen was extremely responsive when we had questions and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her place. Highly recommended and we look forward to booking with her again in the future!

Anniversary vacation

My husband and I really enjoyed Grace Haven. It is centrally located. About 1 mile to Main Street and the ferry to Woods Hole. It is a quiet neighborhood. It has alot of necessities like paper towels, tissues, trash bags, dish and dishwasher detergent, spices and coffee 😊 My husband and I loved the covered deck and the grill worked well đŸ„° Thank you to Kathleen and her husband.

Perfect for Couples

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day week. It is a perfect house for couples looking to get away for some quiet time. The house is very clean and well maintained. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood far enough away from the bustle of downtown, but just a quick drive to all of the surrounding towns and beaches. We would definitely stay here again! The owners were very easy to contact if needed. Overall a great experience.

Spotless and cozy home with great outdoor space, in a convenient location

We stayed at Kathleen's house in late August - early September 2020 and had a wonderful experience. This was our first time both visiting the Vineyard and renting a house for vacation, and it well-exceeded our expectations. The house was truly spotless upon our arrival, and more spacious than in the pictures... very comfortable for a couple. The porch and deck were great places to have meals outside and relax! The house is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac but still walkable/bikeable to Vineyard Haven. We enjoyed biking around West Chop and into town. Beaches are mostly a short drive away -- our favorite was South Beach, in Katama, -- and Kathleen has outfitted the property with great beach chairs, towels, sandcastle toys, etc. One note of caution is that when we stayed, the house did not have A/C, so got a bit warm... there are window fan units and skylights that open which help though! I think A/C units may be available if requested in advance. We'd recommend this property to couples looking for a quiet, convenient, and clean house to retreat to after a day exploring the island by bike or car! As a note for traveling during COVID-19: the Vineyard is taking excellent precautions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and we were very comfortable being out and about with our masks on. Mask compliance is very high and expected when walking around in the towns or on narrow trails. Restaurants have also adapted well for outdoor dining and takeout. This is a great place to stay and have a safe, clean, and relaxing trip!

Great place for couples

My husband and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and to spend some time "away". Overall we really enjoyed our stay- the cottage is nicely stocked and has everything that you will need for a beautiful beach vacation, it was very clean, and the location is very quiet. One issue that we did run into was that this cottage DOES NOT have AC even though the listing says that it does. This was a little upsetting because AC is important to us for vacations, especially during the summer. When we called the owner to ask about it, her response was that, "nobody had ever complained about it", and we felt a little dismissed. Regardless of whether anyone had complained or not, the listing itself says AC, which is where the problem lies. I will say that the cottage stayed somewhat cool except when using the kitchen it did get pretty warm. Overall it was a great trip and you can see and feel the care that was put into the cottage.

Wonderful home

We greatly enjoyed our very comfortable vacation in September. The outside porch was a great place to read on a rainy day. The kitchen was well equipped and the open area of DR/LR left plenty of room.
