A recently renovated property, Esplanada do Ilhéu is located in Vila Franca do Campo near Praia da Vinha da Areia. Strategically located in the central part of the São Miguel island, which makes it an excellent starting point for trips to every corner of the island; it is well connected by expressway with the capital of the island and with the airport (about 20 minutes by car). A lot of restaurants within a walking distance! The unique microclimate makes the town extremely sunny. The air-conditioned accommodation is 10 km from Lagoa do Congro. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Praia do Corpo Santo is 400 metres away.
The spacious house is equipped with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and two decks with ocean views. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance.

Mariusz could not have been a better host. She communicated quickly when I had a question and offered many suggestions of things to do on the island. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The property manager was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again!

The very narrow streets were new for us, but it added the the experience!The host was very accommodating and responsive to questions both before and during our stay. This house is amazing! The interior design is coastal and so perfect. The views of the back porches are ideal. Highly recommend this place. We stayed 2 nights and wish it was the whole vacation. The host welcomed us very nicely!

Marco was a truly exceptional host, warm and attentive, with a wealth of fantastic recommendations that made our stay unforgettable. The house itself was even lovelier than the photographs suggested—bright, airy, and perfectly positioned to take in sweeping views of the ocean. Each morning, we lingered over coffee as the waves shimmered in the sunlight, and each evening we savored a glass of wine while watching the sky melt into shades of pink and gold.Within just a few minutes’ walk, we found an abundance of excellent restaurants serving fresh, local flavors. Snorkeling, diving, and kayaking were all conveniently nearby, making it easy to fill our days with adventure. The community’s warmth made us feel instantly at home, and the charming local market just a block away—brimming with fresh produce, cheeses, and baked goods—is not to be missed. Vila Franca do Campo was everything we hoped for and more.

Wonderful home with incredible views

Five of us stayed in the home for five nights. The home is located in Vila Franca do Campo which we much preferred to the larger and more crowded Ponta Delgada. The two balconies provided outstanding views of the island just off the coast. Check-in was seamless as Carlos was waiting for us. Highly recommend it and we were sad to have to leave.

Wonderful Stay on Sao Miguel

Just spent 10 wonder days in Sao Miguel in this beautiful home with a view. My 3 friends and I started and ended our days enjoying the view from our balcony. Home was just as beautiful as it appears on the site. Beautifully decorated, cozy beds, all The amenities and lots of room for the 4 of us. Great location, lots of restaurants nearby, grocery stores and a wonderful bakery as well. Well located on the island. Mariusz was a wonderful host, very accommodating of our schedule and provided us with restaurant recommendations, shopping tips, and things to see. Carlos and Sabrina , the caretakers, were wonderful and helped us whenever we had questions. We really enjoyed our stay and are already talking about coming back.
