A beautiful, chalet-style house, this home features large windows, wood floors, and an open floor plan. You can enjoy time outdoors on the large deck which includes a fire pit, smoker and grill, dining table, and plenty of comfortable seating. Or in colder weather, enjoy the wood-fired sauna with a panorama window looking into the woods.

The kitchen features new appliances and is stocked with cooking essentials, a wide range of cookware and dinnerware. The open dining area and living room make for an excellent gathering space, and comfortably accommodates 10 people.

In the upstairs family room, there's a large sectional with a projector TV with Roku. Along with a huge selection of board games, puzzles, and books. The washer/dryer are available in the basement.

There are five bedrooms: 3 king beds, 1 queen bed, & 1 full bed. The larger upstairs bedroom also contains a queen size futon and a smart TV. Each bedroom is equipped with a separate thermostat and plenty of room for luggage. There are sound machines & earplugs available, as sounds carry easily with open beam, hardwood ceilings.

Strong wifi (300 Mbps/ 35 Mbps) is available throughout the house and the property has decent cell phone service. The driveway is long, sloping up to the house with a parking area to accommodate about five cars. Turning around at the top of the driveway is tight so keep that in mind if more cars are parked. During the winter months, large amounts of ice & snow can overwhelm those clearing roads & driveways. However, this only happens a few times during the season. *Winter Season Alert: House located on a mountain road that may need AWD/ 4WD during winter weather events.

Located on a private road across from a private ski resort and surrounded by steep hills and woodland, our home feels like a rural mountain retreat. However, you only need to take a two-minute drive down the mountain to get to the grocery store, coffee shop, or to pick up takeout. Mount Creek Resort is only a four-minute drive away and offers a variety of winter sports and summer activities. Rather than a condo or hotel, this private spot is a quiet getaway where you can enjoy nature while still having easy access to all the area’s amenities.

Getting around
Vernon, New Jersey is next to the Appalachian Trail and Mountain Creek Resort. You can explore nearby hiking spots, state parks, and golf courses, and the shops, wineries, and restaurants of the charming town of Warwick, NY are just a short drive away. Whether you enjoy winter sports, summer hikes, or exploring small towns, you’ll find plenty of great options in the area.
