Located directly on the water in Ventress, this spacious four-bedroom home sleeps up to 10 guests and is the ideal setting for holidays, family gatherings, weekend escapes, and peaceful getaways throughout the year.

Whether you're sharing meals around the dining table, relaxing in the living room, playing board games, or enjoying quiet moments on the screened porch overlooking the river, this home offers space to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with the people who matter most.

Beautiful Location

Perfect for our family gathering. Several places within the home and outside for us to share laughs, meals, and family time. We enjoyed relaxing out on the screened porch area and watching the sunset from the pier. The steep driveway was unexpected but we managed. More than adequate parking given the size of our party.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property. Beautiful inside and out. Amazing view of False River (we enjoyed our morning coffee on the pier) Plenty of room, comfortable furnishings (the pillows and sheets were divine), and well appointed kitchen.Would definitely return, again, and again, and again!!

Death Valley Game

We had a great weekend in False River! For most of us, it was our first experience at an LSU game and needed a good place/location for the game. Ma Mamma’s is a great place for evening meal. Great food and perfect place to take a big group or just your special someone. The house was clean, spacious and provided everything and more for our group. I would definitely recommend this place for a great stay. Great communication by the owner too!!

Soul Circle Getaway!

Our ladies Soul Circle group stayed at Family Ties for a weekend and it was just perfect. The space was so welcoming and clean, and perfectly accommodated our large group. The kitchen was well stocked and even had two ovens which made cooking for a large group ideal, and there was plenty of space to eat at the indoor island and table. There were also so many great areas to gather in the living room, screened porch (that had an extra fab for the heat!), back patio, and the dock. What a fabulous place to connect with nature and each other and watch beautiful sunsets. The beds (and especially pillows!) were so comfortable. We will definitely be returning, Family Ties is an ideal getaway house!

WE FINALLY MADE IT

I booked this outing in January for July 4th. It finally got here. We were all looking forward to it and it was GREAT. We ALL had one (1) complaint about the house - the microwave was under the cabinet. We ALL have back problems and over 70 (HA!). It was hard on us to bend and hard to read the numbers because of bi-folds (HA). Other than "old-ager" complaints the house was beautiful, had up-to-date appliances, comfortable furniture (recliners were great for us 'old-agers'), extremely roomy for seven (7). We truly appreciate the owners allowing others to enjoy their lovely accommodations. Thanks!

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

This is our second stay here and it agian met all expectations. Beautiful home summer or fall. We were able to take advantage of the on sight outdoor heater and firepit as well as the indoor gas fireplace during this stay. Lots of family memories made and talks of our next trip back.
