On a sunny island with a nearby beach, you'll sleep comfortably in the heart of Venice Island, FL. Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, just four blocks from the Gulf of Mexico, Luna Sea is located in the exclusive Golden Beach neighborhood of Venice Island, and offers guests exclusive, deeded access to a private beach (rightly named 'Golden Beach').

Enjoy both sides of Florida life in Venice - the picture-postcard beach vacation with gorgeous sunsets and a warm sense of genuine community in the nearby town. Walk just 8 blocks toward the charming town of Venice to find coffee shops, seafood restaurants, and great window shopping. Both Venice Beach and the famous Venice landmark Sharky's on the Pier are both within walking or biking distance.

This home is in the exclusive Golden Beach neighborhood of Venice Island, which is only a 0.5-mile walk or bike ride to the deeded beach access that is limited only to neighborhood residents and guests. This allows guests to use the private beach access which includes an outdoor shower, picnic tables, and a gazebo. (Parking is limited to residents but very close on-street parking is available for guests.) Having a private beach is a wonderful experience. No crowds, no noise- just beautiful views, lots of space, and a chance to enjoy the peaceful blue water of the Gulf without any disturbances. For those who love hunting for shark's teeth, Venice beaches are the perfect place to find these amazing fossils, either right on the beach or during a scuba-diving adventure. Downtown Venice, with its charming shops, restaurants, and parks, is located only 0.8-miles from the home. You can stroll the promenade or enjoy dinner at one of Venice's many celebrated restaurants. Harbor Haven is also only approximately 1 mile from Brohard Paw Park, one of very few beaches in the greater Sarasota area that allows dogs to enjoy the surf and sand as well. Also, Both Venice Beach and the famous Venice landmark Sharky's on the Pier are both within walking or biking distance.

Though perfectly placed between beach and town, you can sit in this vacation home's private backyard and enjoy time utterly to yourself. The property boasts a spacious yard (partially fenced) and good dogs are most welcome to vacation here too. Flowering trees and lush landscaping make it a welcoming haven, whether for reading a book or enjoying sea breezes on the covered patio. There is also a laundry area with a washer and dryer so you can keep those swimsuits dry!

Within easy reach of all these delights is Luna Sea, a relaxing seaside retreat. It offers a screened lanai furnished with a large dining table that seats 6 and comfortable furniture, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors while staying shielded from the bright Florida sunshine. Inside, the property has a large living room with high ceilings, and cooling Terrazzo tile underfoot. The living room provides plenty of seating and entertainment opportunities including a large flat screen TV with streaming service capability, and free high-speed internet. The large, open, eat-in kitchen with a dining table that seats 6 has all you will need to enjoy anything from a simple snack to a gourmet meal. On the same floor, two spacious bedrooms offer sumptuous queen-size beds, fans, and nightstands with reading lamps, while the in-room flat screen TVs allow you to drift off to sleep while watching your favorite shows. One larger bedroom additionally offers a comfortable queen-sized pullout sofa bed and a workspace with desk for those who may be working remotely. Nearby, the full bath with its shower/tub combo is well supplied with plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. The property has an additional half bath as well. There's even a laundry area with a washer and dryer so you can keep those swimsuits dry! The property also boasts a spacious, partially fenced yard, and good dogs are most welcome to vacation here too.

Luna Sea is the left side of the Duplex pictured above. For 2-family vacations or larger family gatherings, it can be booked in conjunction with Harbor Haven (the right side of the duplex), so that larger groups can vacation together while enjoying their own private space.

With two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a comfortable sleeper sofa that allows accommodation for up to 6 guests, this house offers fantastic value. Luna Sea is one of a very few available Venice Island / Golden Beach homes that can be rented for shorter stays (as short as 1 week). You can also rent Luna Sea for a month or more at discounted rates. Why not make it your winter base and invite family and other couples to join you in the sun?

Return from an enjoyable golf game at one of Venice's many courses and enjoy an evening cocktail with loved ones. Walk together just a few minutes to the beach for the spectacular Gulf sunsets. From there - who knows? With such a fantastic location, you'll be able to live your vacation moment by moment.

Parking at Golden Beach, is for resident only. There is street parking right by the entrance for the beach.

the listing was a bit misleading in the proximity to beach. in front of busy noisy roadvery old propertywas NOT convenient to beach NO Parking overpriced for what it was, cleanNO instructions for TV. all streaming unable to see local news or Tv.Good location to the stores, restaurantswas just an ok place to stay.the amount of fees is in my opinion ridiculous.starter of coffee is suggestedonly one shower

Cat or dog hair everywhere. Nasty and smelly rugs. Mold smell in add on back bedroom. Said 2 baths but really the second bathroom was only a toilet in an old laundry room without a sink or shower. The smell continued and the company wouldn’t return my money or move me elsewhere

Harbor Drive

Overall, nice place to stay. Has most things one would need except a dishwasher. Very convenient to downtown Venice, beaches, grocery store. Only complaint is that the Bathroom sink did not drain properly. I alerted management but unfortunately it did not get fixed during our stay.

Untrustworthy property management

WE NEVER FELT SAFE OUR ENTIRE TRIP WHILE STAYING HERE! Upon arrival to the property there were guests still in the property that said they had reservations that overlapped our reservation by three days!!! They had the same door code as us and were not concerned about the double booking, which seemed strange. It took us 24 hours to get in touch with the property manager, and that wasn’t until we contacted VRBO directly. Magically, VRBO was able to contact the property manager immediately. They had no evidence of a double booking, they sent a representative to the home, who looked through the windows of the home and deemed it was empty and clean. Then, an hour later it was discovered that the property’s actual owner let some of their relatives stay at the property without communicating to property management. I asked for a refund of my night that I was not able to be in my VRBO, changing of the door code, and cleaning of the property. I only received the cleaning (which was subpar). The door code was never changed!!! And I was told I would get 100 dollars credited to me, but this was never given to me either. There was black mold in the bathroom and around the air vents. The linens had holes in them. They expected guests to start the linens in the washing machine upon leaving but did not provide laundry detergent. The blankets had stains on them. I continued to call the property manager about these issues throughout our stay and never received a return call.

Location is everything

I really enjoyed the location of this property, despite my initial disappointment about the property itself. Amenities are bare bones and dated. There's a posting on the wall that refers you to a binder of information and cable channels. There is no such binder and no cable. Daily walks to and on the beach were priceless.
