Everything was absolutely great and just as described except... what is not mentioned, and what I think is the cabins greatest asset, is that it is totally isolated. You cannot see any other cabins in any directions. Even the road to the cabin is gently curved, blocking any view (few) cars going by. And very quiet, especially looking out over the stream that is just off the back porch. As older people, a grab bar in the shower would have been nice, and we pushed a few of the throw rugs around in to the corner to avoid tripping, but minor stuff. Wonderful isolated days surrounded by deep forest and a beautiful brook going by. Looking forward to our next visit!

This was our 2nd time at the cabin, we enjoyed our time just as much. Very quiet location with lots of wildlife and easy access to the state parks. Betty and Lanell are very responsive hosts.

Such a peaceful cabin! Loved the creek and the bird feeders. We took advantage of the horseshoe pits and enjoyed that every afternoon. Close to Garner St. Park and Lost Maples. The host had the cabin decorated for Christmas which was so nice. Would definitely come back!

This is our second time at the cabin, this time for a family girls trip. Very much enjoyed our stay and the peace and quiet. The owners are so kind and responsive! The cabin is lovely, clean and close to some fantastic hiking.

This cozy little cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. The grill was in great shape to cook our steaks and the fire pit was nice to roast marshmallows. Sitting out on the back porch watching the birds was very relaxing. The host was quick to answer all the questions I had and sent over check in instructions quickly.

Wonderful Getaway

We've stayed here twice. It's the ultimate spot for seclusion but it's just right down the road from Leakey, Lost Maples SP, Utopia and Garner SP. The drive from Vanderpool to Leakey is next level. The cabin is cozy with an awesome fireplace and comfortable beds. It's definitely our go-to spot if we want to be near Garner or Lost Maples. We will be back.

Relaxing cabin

We had a great time visiting both Garner and Lost Maples. Location of cabin is perfect for both! Very clean, great views, excellent bird watching and just about everything you need! Host was very responsive and check in was a breeze. We will be back!

Great cabin

Wonderful little cabin in the Texas Hill Country woods. It had everything we needed for our two-night stay in early January. Owners even left us some firewood on the front porch for the fireplace!

Lovely, peaceful cabin

We had the best time just sitting on the back porch and watching the birds! It was just the relaxation we needed. We also took the drive to Leakey for lunch. Absolutely beautiful!
