Modernly furnished, fully air conditioned 6th floor apartment in one of the most beautiful parts of Valletta, the capital city of Malta. The apartment forms part of a recently restored building, parts of which date back to the late 1700 & early 1800s. The street in which the apartment is situated and the surrounding area has enormous character and is only 2 minutes away on foot from the main shopping centre & close to various good pubs and restaurants. The apartment has a 50sq/m private terrace. The large 50 sq/m private terrace with views of Grandharbour is breath-taking and unique both by day and night. It's perfect to relax on and for an outdoor meal and evening glass of wine. Fireworks of various feasts happening in the towns and villages facing Grandharbour may often be seen and are truly a spectacle for the senses.
The inside space is modernly finished with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, a galley style kitchen and open plan living area leading onto the terrace. The bedrooms and living-kitchen area are provided with airconditioners which may be used for heating purpose on cold winter days. The penthouse and terrace are all for your private use. We provide a self check-in & check-out service in line with COVID social distancing measures as well as a contact number for anything to do with the apartment during your stay.
The apartment is found on the street in Valletta which retains most original facades, luckily not damaged during WWII. You may park close to the apartment if renting a car. Alternatively you may use public transport since the main bus terminus is just outside Valletta - a 10 minute walk to the apartment. We provide guests with a printed manual at the apartment, which we also send by e-mail prior to the stay so as to be able to plan an itinerary.

One cannot fault this venue for it's size or location - both excellent. Close to everything in Valetta. However, this is a grand old dame in desperate need of a facelift, botox and some rejuvenation. Linen have seen far better days, towels and floor mats are long past their use-by date and fraying, mirrors have mouldy edges and tiles are cracked. The picture of the patio was taken very strategically to cut out the true scenes.As mentioned at the start, this location is perfect, so if you can overlook the rest, this is a good place to stay.The manager of the property was very responsive and organised a very reliable taxi service to and from the property, so communication very good.

Perfect sundeck, in the heart of the town

First visit to Valletta and it's a lovely place - from the apartment you can be in the centre in three minutes - loads of restaurants, shops, churches, views etc. so plenty to do in Valletta. The apartment is perfect - large sun deck and great view both daytime and night time. We used the stairs instead of the lift, but you have to be fit to do that! Able to watch Eurosport tennis on the TV. Nice and quiet because we were so high up, and our street was a quiet one. I wouldn't change a thing, in fact we'll come back again I'm sure. Maybe we were particularly lucky. I'm not sure, but we had warm sun every day - shorts and t-shirts on the sun deck. Cool in the evenings though.

Air Conditioning Inadequate in Summer

Stayed August 2024. Excellent location. Close to supermarket, restaurants. Apt clean, nice outdoor patio with views. Furniture is sparse. Small couch in the living room, dinette table with chairs. Be aware if you rent during the summer. 2 air conditioning units. Use (per book in the apartment) is limited. Only run one AC unit at a time. Do not cool below 22 C (72F). Using both AC units will cause overload and shut down. To cool bedroom for sleeping turn off the living room AC and wait for the bedroom to cool. Instructions on how to reset the breakers provided. For hot water to shower turn off the AC and turn on the hot water heater and give it two hours. Fine in the cooler months. With extreme summer heat, especially given the top floor location with sun exposure, it was intolerable. The AC could not bring the temperature down. Per the manager this is common in Malta and it is “healthier to keep the temperature between 24 degrees C and 26 degrees C (75 and 79 degrees F)”. She stated they don’t keep the apartment cool before guests arrive as this is “a waste of electricity”. She stated the Maltese hardly switch the boiler on in the summer because the water is hot enough for them without it. Not acceptable and not comfortable. We left the unit and checked into a nice Marriott hotel that had great air conditioning and plenty of hot water for our stay. This would be an okay place to stay in the cooler months but definitely would not stay here in the summer.

Great views over the Grand Harbour

It had been many years since our last visit to Valletta and we were not disappointed..The weather Gods blessed us and that combined with a lovely clean apartment with comfortable beds..plenty of space to hang clothes and good heating and hot water..made for a wonderful stay.. The apartment has a very large private terrace and was a wonderful place to sit out after a good few hours walking in various spots around Valletta
we had a car and found free parking throughout our stay about 5 mins walk
(this may have been because of our choice of month to visit) There’s a good supermarket about 5-6 mins walk and lots and lots of restaurants close by - most attractions very close by - all accessible on foot
 We will definitely come back

Great winter stay

Great property with fantastic balcony and views over the harbour. Close to the town and shops and handy for grocery shopping nearby. Perfect getaway for the winter months. Enjoyed very much.

The location is great but you need to be in reasonable shape as all roads into the middle of Valetta are up hill. The apartment itself disappointed us as the second bedroom is very small and hence the double bed took up 99% of the room. We felt the apartment needed a good clean and perhaps could be furnished with a more generous supply of soap and towels. The linens all need to be upgraded as they felt old and worn out. The AC can only be used in one room at a time. The view is wonderful. We would not return despite the great view.

This property was outstanding, the views were unbelievable & the location was perfect. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Communication was easy, responses were instant & taxis were booked for us to & from the airport. Had a fantastice few days, explored Valletta, Sliema & Senglea using all forms of transport. Some fantastic restaurants with loads of variety to choose from. Overall excellent!

The description of this penthouse apartment does not do it justice; it is a fantastic location with superb views of the Grand Harbour and the towns across the way, easy access to the main streets of Valletta and spotlessly clean and well-equipped. And it is very quiet in the evenings/nights as well. If you are looking for a magical place to stay in Malta, this is the apartement to reserve. The hosts made everything totally seamless.

Mitten in Valletta

Die Lage ist sehr gut, leider ist die Wohnung etwas abgewohnt. Dusche kommt nur wenig kaltes Wasser, was wahrscheinlich am 6 Stock liegt. Der Ausblick auf der Dachterrasse entschÀdigt alles. Wer Valletta entdecken möchte ist hier richtig.

Great apartment

This well renovated apartment is very very comfortable, with a good kitchen, appliances, implements and crockery. The apartment is spacious and there is a large terrace with water views over the three cities with outdoor furniture. The apartment is as good as the listing suggests. The apartment is within easy walking distance of all areas of Valetta and the excellent public transport system can be accessed within a 5 minute walk. Checkin was flawless and our host organised a 5.30am transfer to the airport that was clean, careful and on time. We could not be happier.

Centrally located with wonderful views!

This property has everything you need for a great vacation in Valletta. Views of the Grand Harbor were it's greatest asset. It had also got a great geographic location, close to many attractions and short walk away from the Bus terminus which was very handy for going around Malta. Restaurants, shops and market were also within walking distance. Justin was good with checking us in and we were able to prearrange rides to and from the location when we arrived and departed. Clean and bright apartment. Great Vacation spot to stay for a great vacation destination.

Amazing property in great location

We highly recommend this property if you are coming to Valletta, Malta. It is in a great location, near the Saluting Battery, you can see the guns from the terrace!! Not far from restaurants and bars, the Is-Suq tal-Belt (Valletta Food Market) in a few blocks away and you can walk to meals off going to the Upper Barakka Gardens of the museums located all within a few minutes from this property. Everyone from Sandra to Justin were fantastic. I would recommend using the taxi service and not driving since the roads are extremely narrow and the mass-transit is good. I can't say enough about this place!! 5-stars to say the least!!

Il punto di forza dell'appartamento Ăš una splendida terrazza con vista sul golfo del porto. L'appartamento Ăš anche molto central, ed Ăš facile spostarsi a piedi. L'equipaggiamento della casa Ăš completo, non ci Ăš mancato nulla. L'accoglienza Ăš stata molto cortese; quando abbiamo rilevato un problema all'impianto di condizionamento/riscaldamento la proprietĂ  si Ăš subito attivata per la risoluzione del problema.

Schöner Blick

Sehr schöner Blick und Lage, sehr schöne Terrasse. Bei Ankunft mehrerer Kreuzfahrtschiffe entsteht allerdings bei entsprechender Windrichtung eine deutliche Luftbelastung. Im Haus wurde eine Wohnung restauriert was zu hoher Staub und LĂ€rm Belastung fĂŒhrte.

Terrace with apartment

Terrace with apartment When we first saw the terrace, a sixth floor roof terrace, about 50 square meters for our exclusive use, with a 180 degree view over the Grand Harbour, our reaction was “we shall stay here on the terrace the whole week and not go anywhere else!”. Well, of course we did leave the terrace now and then to see and experience what other attractions Malta had to offer, but to enjoy the full moon from the terrace at night and the full sun during the day was a great attraction in itself. (I know you cannot have a full moon every night, but we had it). Life on the top is interesting. The people around on the other roof terraces, the roar of the salute cannon on the bastion 500 m away, competing church bells all around, occasional construction workers going about their work more or less silently, and the hum of noises from below of people chatting and young people enjoying themselves in the evening (heavy music and discotheques seem to be banished to other parts of the city, I hope they appreciate them there). Besides you can follow the coming and going of the 10 to 15 storey cruisers in the harbour, and a multitude of other ships. So much for the terrace. The apartment is just normal first class – spotlessly clean and very functional. The reception was smooth and highly organized – except for the taxi driver who was to meet us in the airport; he was not there at the time, but Justin promised to reprimand him. The location is ideal, with all of the attractions of Valletta within a very short distance, and Valletta is a lovely city just to stroll around in. Anne and Axel Moos, Denmark.

A convenient location that includes a large terrace with a great view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment! We walked everywhere in Valletta from this location, or took taxis and buses from the main terminus at the top of the hill outside the city gate when we wanted to see sites further away. When not exploring all that Malta has to offer, the large outdoor terrace was perfect for watching beautiful sunrises, dramatic skies, and ships great and small navigate the Grand Harbour. And fireworks were often visible in the distance both night and day! At the end of our stay, the apartment management was eager to meet with us to review our impressions and find out what we thought might improve the apartment. Since we love to cook, we felt the kitchen was not well equipped. The terrace could be made even better with some plants and nicer lounge chairs. The WiFi was strong and never a problem (unlike many rentals!), but positioning or lack of power outlets where you need them could be made better (even with a few power strips). The ambiance of the apartment interior could be a bit more polished with not much effort or investment on the part of the owners. We felt that management knows they have a great apartment here and enthusiastically received our recommendations. Another great feature: We loved the fact that we never had to carry keys because of the entry code system.
